Andrew Cuomo Promises To Legalize Gay Marriage In New York
Democratic New York gubernatorial candidate Andrew Cuomo says if he is elected governor (and, with Carl Paladino as an opponent, how could he not be?) he will make “equality a reality.”
“I don’t want to be the governor who just proposes marriage equality. I don’t want to be the governor who lobbies for marriage equality. I don’t want to be the governor who fights for marriage equality. I want to be the governor who signs the law that makes equality a reality in the state of New York,” said the Democratic nominee.
Opponent Carl Paladino doesn’t like children at gay parades. How about gay weddings? Maybe that would be okay, as it’s unlikely you’ll see a groom in a Speedo.
