‘American Sniper’ Killer Found Guilty

Eddie Ray Routh was found guilty in the murders of Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield.

Routh confessed to shooting Kyle and Littlefield shortly after being arrested the day of the incident. Jurors only had to decide if he “intentionally and willingly” killed the pair and whether he knew what he did was wrong.

The trial received widespread attention as the Oscar-nominated American Sniper, the Clint Eastwood-directed film about Kyle’s service in Iraq as a celebrated Navy SEAL sniper based on his best-selling book, has grossed more than $400 million in ticket sales and filled theaters across the USA.

The question still looming: Why, exactly, did Routh turn guns on Kyle and Littlefield, who were trying to help him through his PTSD anxiety? The answer to that question remains elusive.

Routh gets what he deserved but I can’t help feeling this entire event was avoidable. Kyle and Littlefield knew this guy was unstable, testimony showed they were texting each other while on the way to the range about how “straight up crazy” he was…and yet they took him to a location where they placed a gun in his hands…an act that led to their own deaths. I have to wonder what they were thinking, the last thing I would do with an unstable person is give him/her access to a weapon.

I disagree. What Routh needed was the medical attention that should have been made available to him by the VA. But, as you know, a soldier’s worth diminishes greatly once his service is finished and he is once again a civilian. Then he becomes nothing more than a welfare king, sucking off the government teat.

The government failed this man. He was a hero to the right when he was serving in Iraq, but once he came home broken, he was no longer valuable and deserving of the care and respect he once had. I blame this tragedy on the republican party for killing a bill that would expand medical care to our veterans.

I couldn’t agree more. It goes without saying that Kyle and his buddy thought they were helping Routh and the entire incident is predicated on these two gentlemen trying to do something the VA should have been doing…

The cocktail of drugs he was self administering certainly didn’t help any. Whether he was taking the meds recommended by the VA will probably never be known.

…and it certainly didn’t help that Chris Kyle brought a man, who he knew suffered from PTSD and psychological disorders, to a SHOOTING RANGE! Who does that?

I have a friend who has PTSD the shooting range helps him relax, every case is different but knowing ho he was acting taking him there was a mistake,

What an endorsement, Rouths lawyer says going to #TacoBell after the murders proves he was insane.
