The No-Hitler Rule

We’re talking on radio, in terms of the Will Smith issue and the reprehensible cover of the Goldberg book that one should rarely, if ever, make Hitler analogies. An event that so singularly represents evil does not lend itself to easy comparisons. Also, in terms of Will Smith and what he was trying to say, liberals tend to see people as basically good, where the default position for conservatives is that people are basically sinful; they’ll take what they can from the welfare system, lie their way into the country and eat up our taxpayer-funded resourses, not work if they can get away with it, and, without strict control by moral overlord ruin things for everyone else. Liberals see the good in people more easily than conservatives do. Agree?
