Alabama Man Claims Hospital Accidentally Amputated His Penis
When an Alabama man went to the hospital for a routine circumcision, things went horribly wrong after he awoke and his penis was gone. According to the man, doctors mistakenly amputated his penis.
Johnny Lee Banks Jr. of Birmingham and his wife, Zelda Banks, filed the lawsuit on Tuesday in Jefferson County, according to the AP.
The couple is suing the hospital, doctors and others for what they deem to be medical malpractice, negligence and wrongdoing.
According to the lawsuit, Banks went to Princeton Baptist Medical Center in Birmingham last month for a circumcision. The suit claims that the man’s penis was gone when he awoke.
The suit adds that the mistaken amputation has caused the man extreme pain, and that his wife also is suffering.
The suit names the hospital, a urology group, a medical clinic and two doctors as defendants, however, the hospital claims the suit has no merit.
A statement released by hospital spokeswoman Kate Darden said, “We intend to defend all counts aggressively.”
If the hospital denies the allegations, then who took this man’s penis?

Your stock photo shows the “surgeon” holding an X-Acto knife, not a scalpel.
I could tell be the handle-and-blade.
Now, with that out of the way…
let the floodgates open, and the pecker jokes begin!

That was probably intentional. ANY surgeon who would accidentally remove someone’s penis is a surgeon who damned well should not be practicing medicine anymore and/or be in a prison cell.
Just no reason to not check someone’s chart and see “Oh, this person is in for a circumcision…. better not cut off his penis!”

Alabama cost cutting.X-Acto knives are cheaper at hobby shops than having to buy sterilized scalpels. Bedpans are probably just plastic paint trays…

If I was this dude, they would be changing the name of the place from the “Princeton Baptist Medical Center” to the “Johnny Lee ‘Stumpy’ Banks Jr. Hospital”.
