Mothers’ Day Is Coming, Don’t Forget To Buy Bullets

When Sarah Palin sucked all of the oxygen out of the NRA meeting this weekend (“waterboarding is how we baptize terrorists”), we didn’t notice any of the other crazy on display. But fear not: it was there. For instance, we learned that former Senator Rick ‘Google Me’ Santorum buys bullets rather than flowers for his wife:

“The default gift for most men is to buy flowers on a special occasion,” Santorum said. “For me, the safe bet [is] ammo.”

I wonder if different calibre ammo means a different thing in their relationship. A single .22 means forgive me, a round of .357 is happy birthday, and a shotgun shell is, well, you know!
