Statement on the Passing of Alan Colmes

Alan Colmes passed away early Thursday, February 23, after a brief illness.

He was 66 years old.

He leaves his adoring and devoted wife, Jocelyn Elise Crowley.

He was a great guy, brilliant, hysterical, and moral. He was fiercely loyal, and the only thing he loved more than his work was his life with Jocelyn.

He will be missed.

The family has asked for privacy during this very difficult time.

I come here as a conservative who greatly enjoyed Alan’s wit and candor. I was shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. Thoughts and prayers for his family and fans in this difficult time.

Alan, I will miss you a great deal. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, humor, and outlook with us on talk radio. You were a healthy dose of common sense and a welcomed voice on the radio that I looked forward to hearing. Condolences to the Colmes family.

I must be one of this longest fans – going back to his Daynet days.

That’s most of my adult life! His positive and fair voice has been a kind of a constant for me.

I’ve been missing Alan the last few weeks.

The substitute hosts are fine but Alan was such an unusual collection of good traits.
