Trump let club cronies in on staff interviews

Sounds impeachable to me! Politico has a leaked tape, and it’s a doozy.

President Donald Trump, living alone inside the White House, often hungers for friendly interaction as he adjusts to the difficult work of governance. At his clubs, he finds what’s missing.

That showed last November at a cocktail and dinner reception celebrating longtime members of his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club. Deep into the process of meeting potential Cabinet nominees, the president-elect invited partygoers to stop by the next day to join the excitement.

We’re doing a lot of interviews tomorrow — generals, dictators, we have everything,” Trump told the crowd, according to an audio tape of his closed-press remarks obtained by POLITICO from a source in the room. “You may wanna come around. It’ll be fun. We’re really working tomorrow. We have meetings every 15, 20 minutes with different people that will form our government.”

We’re going to be interviewing everybody — Treasury, we’re going to be interviewing Secretary of State,” he continued. “We have everybody coming in — if you want to come around, it’s going to be unbelievable….so you might want to come along.”

As he prepares to spend the third straight weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, the tape provides a window into how Trump conducts himself away from the prying press and among the loyal faces of his club.

Trump’s comfort level among his members also has raised questions about his discretion. The president last weekend turned the Mar-a-Lago patio into an open-air situation room — discussing the response to a North Korean ballistic missile test while club members snapped pictures that ricocheted around social media and put him in the crosshairs of congressional oversight from Democrats and Republicans concerned about lax security protocols. While the White House has said that Trump was not discussing classified material in public, the incident received widespread condemnation from national security experts.

The incident received widespread condemnation from national security experts. But club members dismissed it as just an example of Trump being the man he has always been with them — available.

Little donald is treating the presidency like it is a social position. We need an adult that understands the presidency is about work and running the largest organization on earth.

There was a story on NPR yesterday, with him spending every weekend in Florida, the locals can’t live their normal lives with all the Secret Service and all the security restrictions. For instance, a sky writer, who does most of his business on weekends, can’t fly because of security. He doesn’t give a sh*t about anyone else. And of course his family is costing us a fortune.

considering the way he treats her and the fact that she doesn’t want to be with him, i’d say she’s happy he’s gone. fk both of ’em.

The stuff he takes to keep his hair from falling out can cause impotence. He probably likes the excuse to not make that booty call.

National security is of no significance compared to the Trump obsession with showing the world how great Trump is.

Rump is so insecure he had to have a rally in Melbourne, FL today to make sure people still approve of him. What a weak bunch of mindless mumbo jumbo that was…

The president should be given a voucher to cover security expenses for his non-business trips. Security at government facilities (e.g. Camp David) will be provided “free”. Any security expenses incurred that exceed the voucher will be his responsibility. Are we required to subsidize this guy’s sense of grandeur? And pay $365 million because his wife can’t stand being with him in DC?

We are such assholes for electing assholes that let this asshole rip us off. There’s just too damn many assholes.

    • Buford2k11 February 19th, 2017 at 10:22

WE did not elect this guy…there were sixtythree million morons who did…and these morons don’t usually stop by here…so, I am part of the smart voters who voted straight democratic ticket…so, WE does not apply here….

      • Vito Caputo February 19th, 2017 at 18:02

” I am part of the smart voters who voted straight democratic ticket”[sic] Do you honestly think that this proclamation omits you from the class of assholes that got Trump elected?

First… the DNC sabotaged Sanders and paved the road for Trump by putting up Hillary. Those are the same people that assemble the “democratic ticket”.

Second… how many elected Democrats sat on their asses and watched the election fraud that was being played to benefit Trump? As you watched it happen in real time… did you get on your elected congresspeople to do something? Did you express your disbelief and outrage “around the water cooler”?

Third… how many of those “sixtythree million morons”[sic] that voted for Trump did you aggressively engage in a meaningful effort to bring them “into the light”?

Fourth… do you actually think… in light of all that has moved in front of your eyes and you’ve sucked in through your ears… that your voting a straight democratic ticket was the best you could do to prevent what you’ve actually allowed?

Finally… do you really believe that “voters who voted straight democratic ticket”[sic] are totally disjoint from the class of “stupid”?

When I said “we”… I meant WE… and that included ME! Although I did as best I could to engage and enlighten my circle of Americans… clearly… either what I did was ineffective or I didn’t do enough. And… if all you did was convince yourself that you are “part of the smart voters who voted straight democratic ticket”[sic]… you too are included in the WE.

Sorry Charlie… you too let this happen.

Having read and comprehended what I wrote…how could you possibly get to “…so Fuck off trumper… go peddle your perversions elsewhere?”

So either you didn’t read what I wrote… or you didn’t comprehend what you read — or both. Perhaps your active curiosity will provoke you to read them again. If you do… keep this in mind: “People read what they want to read… see what they want to see… hear what they want to hear.”

Actually… that’s how you got to “…trumper…” You really needed to “read” that. In reality… that’s not what I wrote. Specifically… there is nothing there that would identify me as a member of the class you call “trumpers”. After all… my spelling is good… my grammar is correct… and I know the difference between correlation and causation. I even think about stuff. How could you not see these things and immediately disassociate me from what you call “trumpers”.

“Perversions”? I’ve been called a lot of things… but never a pervert. What did I write… that you perceived as being a perversion?
