Backstabber: CNN hears Kellyanne is behind anti-Spicer leak campaign

Posted by | February 15, 2017 11:28 | Filed under: Media/Show Business News Behaving Badly Politics

But who leaked the chaotic “Game of Thrones” details to CNN?

Knowledgeable sources tell CNN’s Dylan Byers they believe that White House counselor Kellyanne Conway is behind the media narrative that President Donald Trump is not happy with Sean Spicer‘s performance as White House press secretary.

Both Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon denied that Spicer was in the doghouse, saying that he had the “full confidence” of the president. Priebus suggested the rumors were being spread by a low-level staffer, while Bannon suggested that “the media, the opposition party” was simply telling lies.

“Many people sympathetic to Spicer in and out of the White House believe otherwise,” Byers reports. “Five of these sources think the person behind the leaks is Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s ever-visible White House counselor. Though they offer no hard evidence, they say Conway is trying to offload blame for administration setbacks on Spicer to prove she is the more effective public advocate…”

Conway of course denies the charge. “Absolutely not,” she said in a statement. “It’s absolutely false. Sean has my full support, but most importantly, he has the President’s full support. We work as a team.”

Spoken in pure Cersei Lannister fashion, Kellyanne! And the spin keeps on coming:

Top Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway has been a ubiquitous presence on major network and cable news programs for the past several months — but it looks like that will soon come to an end.

Conway tells CNN that she’s planning to “reduce my television exposure” in the days ahead, even as news shows such as Morning Joe have decided against bringing her on the air due to what they say are questions about her credibility.

What? No more Kellyanne on Morning Joe? Say it ain’t so!

!MSNBC host Mika Brzezinski on Wednesday announced that she would no longer allow Kellyanne Conway, counselor to President Donald Trump, to be booked on Morning Joe.

“I know for a fact she tries to book herself on this show; I won’t do it,” Brzezinski announced on Wednesday’s Morning Joe. “I don’t believe in fake news or information that is not true. That is — everytime I’ve ever seen her on television something is askew, off, or incorrect.”

Brzezinski’s co-host, Joe Scarborough, defended Conway, insisting, “I don’t even think she’s saying something she knows to be untrue.”

“She’s just saying things just to get in front of the TV to prove her relevance because behind the scenes she’s not in these meetings and any reporter can ask anybody in that White House and they will say the same thing,” Scarborough opined. “She’s not in these meetings. So why does the president allow her to keep going out and spreading false information?”

Brzezinski, however, was resolute.

“Kellyanne Conway does not need to text our show, as long as I’m on it,” Brzezinski remarked. “It’s not happening here.”

Let’s be honest, she’d be a far better WH Press Secretary than Spicer. For one, she’s a much better liar and quicker on her feet. They are both awful people but if you want to compare qualifications….

A better liar …? I think she’s just more creative.
      Spicy’s lies are demanded/written by Trump, he’s merely a semi-useful tool.

They’re more likely written by Bannon.

Can we really believe anything she says?
Extrapolating from every single statement this woman has made, it’s just another lie

      Only on “opposites” day.

Well, when she says that someone has “the full confidence of the president” it’s apparently a gypsy curse meaning that person is soon to die, or be fired.

Many of you may remember “Baghdad Bob”, Saddam Hussein’s propaganda minister who boasted of great Iraqi victories as the sounds of American artillery were heard in the background.

I submit that from now until her resignation which I predict will occur before my birthday in May, we christen her “Beltway Betty”

Wow, now Spicer has the “full confidence of the president.” Obviously, he’s doomed.
