How do you interrogate a man who was no threat to the USA ?
And it seems to me things were alot more peaceful when Saddam was alive with no mention of ISIL in the news

This is an interrogation (interview) the U.S. should have done way before the war. But the U.S. likes to shoot first and ask questions later. John Nixon is a good guy that was sent to do his job and he did it well, just to late.

Actually there were several discussions between Saddam and the USA prior to the invasion.
As for John as a good person? I would have been more honest with the report

Well then apparently we (Bush) had an agenda, and it wouldn’t have mattered what Saddam said.
Well Johns report wasn’t reviewed by Bush until 4 years later! And he was honest with Bush but he didn’t want to hear it, according to John.

One reason I call him a good guy is bcause he doesn’t believe in torture as a tool for interrogating someone.
