Santa will be sweating in his suit.

The North Pole is expected to see a record-breaking heatwave, with temperatures at the North Pole forecast to reach 20 degrees higher than average on Christmas Eve.

Temperatures are forecast to peak at near-freezing as warm air from the North Atlantic flows all the way to the North Pole via Spitsbergen, producing cloud cover that will trap the heat…

Such sharp increases in Arctic temperatures “are becoming more frequent because we have a declining sea ice cover – the water below is warmer,” said Jesper Eriksen, a forecaster at the Danish Meteorological Institute.

    well, I hope Santa’s legal team can place a freeze on things until they get back to normal. A melting snow cap with all out Nuclear Destruction will probably keep things scorching hot – until the atmosphere vanishes.
