White man to black comedian: ‘Trump’s victory entitles me to call you a n*gger’

Posted by | December 15, 2016 11:51 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

How uneducated and ignorant are some Trump supporters?

Comedian Jon Laster was performing at the Gotham Comedy Club in Chelsea, Manhattan just a week after the election when he reached “a boiling point” of personal frustration, Rolling Stone reports.

Laster recounted how at the end of the night’s sets, a white middle-aged individual approached him at the bar and said, “Man you were really funny, and you’re black!”

The man continued, “Since Trump won the election, there’s a lot America needs to reconsider. We need to put that ‘politically correct’ stuff to bed; now I should be able to call you ‘n-word.’”

Laster then recounted how he had to hold himself back from punching the man. After the incident, he wrote on his Facebook, “I’ve spent the entire weekend disgusted that we have to deal with this and disgusted that I didn’t break his jaw [and] it’s not an Alabama problem.”

trump’s election just allowed all the racists to crawl out from under their rocks. Now, instead of just trolling websites and social media with their racist filth, they feel comfortable in coming out in the open, like this asshole. And having a “safe” word to apply to themselves, like “alt-right”, makes it even easier.

It sure feels like America is having a civil war with itself. It’s America 19th century vs America 21st century. Who will win, the ugly past or the future?

    ..”.it’s not an Alabama problem.”

Our nominated Attorney General Jefferson Beauregard Sessions is an Alabama problem.

    • Larry Schmitt December 15th, 2016 at 12:48

Is his middle name really Beauregard? It wouldn’t surprise me. I know how those southerners like to keep the names of their heroes going.

Yes, it is… and he’s actually Jefferson Beauregard Sessions III, not that that’s all that surprising.

Long line of little racists, huh.

I’m a pretty peaceful person, but now and then there are some people who need this. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/cc4c5d15013e4ae30e3d3c92e387aa2681bbf87cb735d5b1252defcfd4c56e8f.jpg

In the guy’s defense, he’s a Trump supporter, so he’s not exactly the sharpest tool in the shed and, as such, lacks empathy. And if the comedian DID punch the guy, he’d look at him perplexed as if to say “what did I do wrong?”.

What judge would hold it against him?

      • Larry Schmitt December 15th, 2016 at 15:23

        A republican judge.

you know, hitting someone under this circumstance has happened before and not guilty. i believe it’s provocation law or something to that affect. you can’t go around antagonizing people in this manner and think you can get away with it. he was just lucky. there are white assholes and black assholes. the ones like west, keys and the cowboy wearing ass, i’d like to drop them in the middle of missipissy at night, w/o a flash light. let the racist have at ’em see how much they are loved. guys like this asshole, drop him off in the middle of the crips, bloods, whatever and see just how fast he’ll denounce tRump or if he’ll call one of them the n word. sounds harsh? it’s not, and i’d pay to see it. because i’m sick of all of ’em and they need a real rude awakening.

          rant off.

          • Lyndia December 15th, 2016 at 23:13

Drop him off at Kedzie and Roosevelt, on Chicago’s Westside. That is where they beat the crap out of that man for voting for trump.

        • whatthe46 December 15th, 2016 at 20:27

    • whatthe46 December 15th, 2016 at 20:19

and then, i’d hit him again. he’ll figure that out real quick. these white boys are playing fricken russian roulette.

      • Lyndia December 15th, 2016 at 22:28

But they haven’t gotten the right one, yet.

        • whatthe46 December 15th, 2016 at 23:42

          nope they haven’t.

    • Lyndia December 15th, 2016 at 22:28

and he would be asking me, “What did I do wrong?” That is, if he was able to do so.

  6. Suzanne McFly December 15th, 2016 at 14:26

Completely agree that this ignorance is not just in Alabama. I believe education is the one thing that could eradicate racism and there are plenty of underfunded schools in the north east just like they have underfunded schools in the south.

    • Larry Schmitt December 15th, 2016 at 15:25

As the saying goes, sunlight is the best disinfectant. There’s a direct relationship between the poorest rated schools, in the south, and the smallest school budgets, also in the south.

  7. misterme December 15th, 2016 at 23:18

Laster, then, has the right, and the obligation, to call that sonofabitch “a pasty-face MOFO.”
