Speaking to “Entertainment Tonight,” the couple said, “God has blessed us so much; we are thankful for His grace and new beginnings. A springtime baby in the Meyer home and we can’t wait!”

A year from now, that means another annual check from the government for the toddler as long as he/she draws breath and resides in Alaska.
Don’t get me wrong, I think the Alaska Oil Income Royalty program is a fantastic idea. I wish there was a way to implement it at the federal level. It’s funny and frustrating at the same time, as right wingers tie themselves into knots avoiding admitting the reality that the very red state of Alaska is living proof that socialism works, and works well.
