Lewandoski: Trump is president so we can say ‘Merry Christmas’ again

Posted by | December 7, 2016 07:40 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

This is so great, because for years, we were locked up if we dared say “Merry Christmas” in America.

You can say again Merry Christmas because Donald Trump is now the president. You can say it again. It’s OK to say,”  Lewandowski, Trump’s former campaign manager, said on Fox News’ “Hannity.” “It’s not a pejorative word anymore.”

Lewandowski’s comments were in the context of Donald Trump’s deal with Carrier to keep 800 jobs in the U.S., saying the families of the workers would have a great Christmas because of Trump

        Feliz Navidad.

he must be dreaming of a WHITE holiday?

    • Larry Schmitt December 7th, 2016 at 07:52

By the way, naming someone person of the year is not an endorsement or approval of him. Which I’m sure you would discover if you read the article.

I remember when Time wanted to put Bin Laden as the person of the year, and the RW went nuts.

They didn’t get your point….that’s it’s the person who most influenced events, good of bad.

Critical thinking ain’t their strong point.

    • Hirightnow December 7th, 2016 at 08:36

Hitler and Stalin also had that honor. What’s your point?

      • nola878 December 7th, 2016 at 08:42

Stalin twice, along with Khrushchev and Khomeini.

      • Jack E Raynbeau December 7th, 2016 at 11:52

He has no point. It has been the winner of the election for at least 5 times in a row now.

He still has a way to go. Stalin made it in ’39 and ’42.

      • amersham1046 December 7th, 2016 at 16:22

        Hitler made it in ’39

This is ‘fake’ news as it implies that we couldn’t say Merry Christmas prior to the thin-skinned-pumpkin-heads election.

    • Larry Schmitt December 7th, 2016 at 08:17

I don’t know anyone who wasn’t allowed to say it. People like O’Reilly got their knickers in a knot whenever someone said anything else. It’s all part of his annual “War on Christmas.”©

      • granpa.usthai December 7th, 2016 at 09:57

        heck!

even Santa says Merry Christmas at this ancient Holiday to celebrate the TREE!

    • granpa.usthai December 7th, 2016 at 09:55

you could say it, but if you did, others would talk about you when behind walls that the orange COWARD has torn down. (kinda like his virtual wall along the borders, especially the northern one where most of the Islamic terrorist enter the country at. (JFK International on Long Island, NY).

      BUTT

you can also say Happy Holidays, or even BAH! HUMMBUG! if you want. – at least until Jan. 20th, 2017.

      • Jack E Raynbeau December 7th, 2016 at 11:55

        I prefer Ha! Bumhug!

I didn’t know that RWN Deplorables have been banned from saying Merry Christmas. Don’t they just like saying they are? Idiots!

    • Larry Schmitt December 7th, 2016 at 08:46

I am so tired of Christians’ “we’re being persecuted” mantra. It’s really annoying.

      • granpa.usthai December 7th, 2016 at 09:49

it’s a major part of their religious shtick. – along with being SUPERIOR over all others as they are children of god.

    • granpa.usthai December 7th, 2016 at 09:46

it was a rumor that got started by one of the disgruntled tiny flying reindeer that was sick and tired of flying Santa’s fat red butt all over the world on Xmas eve. It’s OK though, as it’s been canned and replaced by another who doesn’t have a very shiny nose.

I don’t know where these guys live where they weren’t allowed to say ‘merry christmas’.

But it wasn’t on planet earth.

He told NBC “it’s a great honor.” That’s not what Person of the Year means.

    • StoneyCurtisll December 7th, 2016 at 18:19

      Indeed…
Some people who were “person of the year” were not people who most would say are (honorable)
