Snowden: Petraeus disclosed ‘far more highly classified information than I ever did’

Posted by | December 4, 2016 09:11 | Filed under: Politics

Edward Snowden spoke to Katie Couric.

In an exclusive interview with Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric, Edward Snowden says that former CIA Director Gen. David Petraeus — under consideration to be President-elect Donald Trump’s secretary of state — disclosed “information that was far more highly classified than I ever did” and yet never “spent a single day in jail.”

The fugitive former NSA contractor told Couric that Petraeus’ case is evidence that “we have a two-tiered system of justice in the United States, where people who are either well connected to government or they have access to an incredible amount of resources get very light punishments.”

Why do you think we call him BETRAYUS?

Snowden needs to supplicate President Obama on that one–Trump’s not even sworn in yet.

How is the president guilty? How does this have to do with Trump or President Obama? Other than Trump wants him in his cabinet… NOTHING! I guess because POTUS is black he has to be the whipping boy, right?

      • fay9169 December 4th, 2016 at 12:48

Because POTUS is ‘black’? No…because ‘POTUS’ is the POTUS!! He’s in charge for another month and a half! Snowden should address all requests to Obama! Don’t blame Trump when he’s not even in office yet!

But Trump is the one thinking about appointing Petraeus to his cabinet. The current POTUS was in charge when Petraeus was dismissed and charged. I’m still not seeing any connection at all.

I don’t think Petraeus will get that job. If Snowden wants to petition Trump, he should wait until Trump is in office, as he’s not well-thought of right now–Snowden, I mean…I don’t see what Snowden did that was so bad….but if it was illegal–he’ll have to take his lumps….

Thanks. I didn’t understand where you were going. At all! :-

And I agree with you too.

Well, he’s partially correct. In addition to being in government or big business, one must also be closely connected to the conservative movement and/or the Republican Party to get a pass. But if you have all the requirements, you’re ‘in like Flynn.’

While I think Snowden did a public service to America, I also think he’s missing the point here.

Patraeus disclosed to one other person, not the whole world. It’s a huge difference.

That being said, Patraeus should never be let anywhere near classified information again.

Petraeus only disclosed the information to his personal bimbo, so its okay

Another tease from the NSA convict . If only snowden posted what info he has ? and I will give patraeus the benefit of the doubt since he showed up for court when asked.

    Ed is still a pos….
