The 58-year-old man was killed by his son who mistook him for a deer.

Kristopher Paro, 24, was in a tree stand in the woods behind his Sandy Creek home when he thought he heard a deer about 100 yards away.

He was unaware that his father Kevin Paro had also gone in the woods that day to hunt, and fired one shot from his .270-caliber rifle…

Kristopher, who is a US Marine, has not been charged.

What a pity. NY had managed to have two years in a row without any hunting fatalities.

Why would anyone blindly shoot towards something they cannot identify as an actual deer?

There were the Chicago based hunters who one year in Wisconsin shot a kid riding a sled while wearing a blaze orange coat.
