Thank you for this. I really enjoyed the read, and even laughed through the tears of inauguration blues. Gives me hope that for much of the time he will just be the bellowing nincompoop with no real ability to get a lot done. If ever there was a time for a do nothing president with a do nothing congress, it is now.

oh, I really don’t know…I know that I am storing about 300,000 photos, of those there are a few sunsets, that I remember taking….I try to take sunsets and sunrises where ever I go…I have a “sun dog type of sunset”…those are rare…I like sunrises too…I really could not tell you a precise number…but I think that “quite a few” may cover it…
I have accepted them as part of my landscape…there are others that you don’t see…It is getting very hard these days to frame a photo without some flaw…So, I am thinking of just accepting the powerlines and other manmade visual pollution, and try to keep the beauty “real”…
It is a beautiful pic, I know what you mean about the cold weather. I have arthritis and it doesn’t bother me until there is a lot of humidity or cold weather. I have become a weather forecaster due to my ailments lol.
Yeah, the cold brings on aches and pains, but then you have the thrill of remembering how you damaged that joint. Broken bones, bad falls, etc. add up over the years.
We have about a dozen that are “ours” and hang out at our house and property, but there are probably 30 more who live in the area, and sometimes visit. We had three chicks this summer, and they are now as big as their mom.
They are very independent and can survive pretty well, but ours are spoiled since we feed them regularly. They are tough on gardens however, and I have given up with some flowers, as they devour them.
wow, are they pretty loud? I had one perched on my roof for a month…I don’t know why, but after rent ran out, he split…my old neighbors used to raise guinea hens, chickens and geese…I don’t like geese…nope…no geese…
Peacocks can be loud, but usually only honk and squawk when alarmed, or when separated and need to locate others, and always quiet down quickly. We have had chickens, guineas, ducks, geese, but now just peacocks. The area where we now live has a lot of woods and unpopulated areas, so there are plenty of predators, and we didn’t want to deal with protecting chickens, etc., so now just have peacocks, who roost in trees for safety.

East of me is the local animal shelter with over a dozen dogs/cats who love to bark early in the morning..
