NBA teams refuse to stay in Trump hotels

Three NBA teams won’t grace the halls of Trump hotels during away games.

According to Mediaite, The Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks “have moved away from Trump hotels in New York City and Chicago, which bear Donald Trump‘s name through a licensing agreement,” ESPN reports. The Grizzlies and Mavericks have stayed at Trump SoHo in the past, but they’re searching for other options.

It isn’t a surprise for the Dallas Mavericks, they’re owned by anti-Trump advocate and Hillary Clinton supporter Mark Cuban. In the last year, Cuban attacked Trump for multiple political issues but also personal ones, claiming Trump wasn’t actually a billionaire and was a bad businessman.

“There’s that guy who’ll walk into the bar and say anything to get laid. That’s Donald Trump right now to a T. But it’s all of us who are going to get f*cked,” Cuban told a conference earlier this year.

Pumpkin head better take that presidential salary. He is going to need it.

But: When CBS news anchor Lesley Stahl reminded him that it was $400,000 per year, he replied, “No, I’m not gonna take the salary. I’m not taking it.”

He’s lied before, he’s lying again. That 400K is only part of the package, he gets 50G annual spending account, 100K travel account and 19G for entertainment, which is low since Trumps usual call girls cost much more than that.

Have the 400K paid to his foundation, and he can pay for his hooker tax free!

Probably won’t even have to make the required disclosure of any withdrawal over 10K.

Money for nothing and your chicks tax free… so to speak.

That’s right, he also said his campaign was self funding.

No worries. When Donnie takes the reigns in January, he’ll simply issue an executive order that all federal employees must stay in Trump hotels when traveling on business.

    It won’t matter a bit.

    • whatthe46 November 17th, 2016 at 09:51

it will to tRumps pocket. it’s all that matters to him. we’re not talking about a few rooms. we’re talking about a few teams.

Not one of the hotels listed are actually owned by Trump, he merely brands them so it won’t hurt him one bit.

he basically leases out his name. Scion, the name, has been replaced on one of his towers. his name is his brand and he does lose money if no one stays in his hotels. you didn’t think he just lends his name out as favors? no one uses his name if it doesn’t benefit him. so yes, this does hurt his pockets.

          • Mike November 18th, 2016 at 08:24

Believe it or not he does actually lend out his name for nothing…160-170-180 Riverside Dr. (NYC) are a perfect example. With others, he made keeping the Trump name part of the development contract.
You can’t hurt a billionaire by boycotting what he doesn’t own. With the power of the executive office he will steer contracts and business towards his entities and it will be perfectly legal.
In short, we’re fked … get used to it, it’s gonna get way worse.

            • whatthe46 November 18th, 2016 at 08:46

you actually can in this case. his name means everything in the world to him. boycotting his business also means fk’n with his money. he’s not only being boycotted in the states, but worldwide. his golf courses are losing business. and yes, it’s hard to believe he lends out anything. tRump only gave 7 dollars as a donation to the boy scouts, so, yeah i have a problem believing he gets nothing out of it.
