‘Whites only’ and ‘colored’ signs placed on school’s water fountains

Posted by | November 11, 2016 17:02 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Is this what we’re going to see more of in the Trump era?

Someone posted “whites only” and “colored” signs over water fountains at First Coast High School in Jacksonville, Florida.

“The signs placed on top of the fountains are completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by our school district,” Dr. Nikolai Vitti, Duval County Public Schools Superintendent, told LawNewz.com in a statement. “We are investigating the matter to determine who is behind the action to provide the appropriate discipline and counseling.”

The signs clearly evoke segregation policies formerly common in the United States. Pictures of the signs started circulating on social media, stoking outrage.

I’m wondering how soon the real bloodletting begins…this is going to get worse, a lot worse, before this is over…My grandson is at risk now…and there are signs that there is going to be trouble….our school is small, and everyone knows everyone else, so there is hope that nothing bad will come of it…we are in the process of squashing any and all of the kids’ name calling and bullying, right now…well, it has been a problem before, but now it is getting worse with Trumpism giving permission for the bigots and haters to give voice and action their hate…

having experienced the effects of those who can control with fear and anger and using dirty tactics to direct it at individuals/groups, I cannot emphasize enough, those in the military should go back home to their families and stay there – at least until the armed white racist terrorist are disarmed and kept out of public.

This is simply the visible aspect of racism which has been around for a long time. Shameful.

Well I lived in Jacksonville for 15 years and there is no shortage of red necks unfortunately.

I live in redneck heaven and a lot of them came here from WV. and spawned.

I live in rural, small town republican land, it’s sort of nice but it sort of sucks at the same time. And the people don’t even realize they vote against their own interests.

Well at least you can come here to escape :)

I had a place like this when I lived in Jacksonville and I am still friends with a couple of them to this day. Amazing how horrible leaders like rump and bush can create strong friendships.

Nothing will until they put money in education.

As soon as Rick Scott took office he cut 3 bil from FL’s education budget

He was the worst thing to happen to that state in a long time. Sadly they don’t acknowledge it. When he first started implementing hard right policies, Floridians were pissed off and wanted to vote him out. Now he has been out of the news (except for early vote restrictions) and he is a shoo-in for 2018.

with the number of armed white racist terrorist traveling about freely and the level of deception shown by the FBI and republicans:

those in the military need to stay at home and close to their families.
