Trump did better with blacks and Hispanics than Romney

Posted by | November 9, 2016 17:10 | Filed under: Politics

NBC exit polling show Trump doing better than Mitt Romney in 2012 with these groups.

Trump claimed 29 percent of the Hispanic vote on Tuesday compared to Romney’s 27 percent in 2012. With blacks, exit polls show Trump claimed 8 percent of the vote to the previous Republican nominee’s 6 percent…

That means Trump — who called Mexicans “rapists” and “killers” — garnered more support from Hispanics than a candidate whose most controversial position was telling undocumented immigrants to “self-deport.”

Trump has frequently linked blacks to “inner city” slums and crime at rallies. Yet he performed better among African American voters than a considerably more moderate Republican nominee.

A friend of mine immigrated legally from Guatemala in the 1980’s. He visits his relatives in Guatemala City a couple of times each year. He recently told me that crime is getting a lot worse in Guatemala and Mexico. People leave those countries to *escape* from bad hombres. They don’t want those bad hombres coming across the border. So it’s no surprise to me that 29% of Hispanics voted for the man who promises to increase border security. You think my friend Jose is stupid? I’ll bet you wouldn’t say that to his face. and if you did, I’m pretty sure he would give you an education on Guatemala.

Gullible and uninformed that USA maintains a negative Mexican immigrant rate, since Bush Jr and BHO44 doubled southern border patrol agents, adding more electronics, drones, aerial surveillance aiding capture teams.

“So it’s no surprise to me that 29% of Hispanics voted for the man who promises to increase border security.” Clearly you’re paranoid, and uniformed about USA immigrant border stats since at least 2010. More than 2/3 of Mexicans would even refuse a legal USA entry visa. Preferring to stay in Mexico. ‘What (trump) said about Judge Curiel is Racist’-(R-Wi) Speaker Paul Ryan. ‘It’s obvious (trump) knows very little about the issues.’-(R-KY) Senate Leader McConnell. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/f2dd47032016972485d3bc7f44843f1f9b5eab49b5cfcefa47ccb1e1b86c3ebc.jpg

I wrote about Hispanics. You responded about Mexicans. Not the same thing. Here is what Pew Research reported in February:

“Mexico increasingly serves as a land bridge for Central American immigrants traveling to the U.S.”.

“From Oct. 1, 2015, to Jan. 31, 2016, 24,616 families and 20,455 unaccompanied children – the vast majority of them from Central America – were apprehended at the southwestern U.S. border, double the total from the same time period the year before. Apprehensions of unaccompanied children rose to record levels in fiscal 2014, then decreased by 42% in fiscal 2015.”

” The number of Cubans migrating through Mexico to reach the U.S. spiked dramatically last year after President Barack Obama said the U.S. would renew ties with the island nation. In fiscal 2015, 43,159 Cubans entered the U.S. via ports of entry, a 78% increase over the previous year.”

You don’t lie very well Exhibit A: “He recently told me that crime is getting a lot worse in Guatemala and Mexico. People leave those countries to *escape* from bad hombres.”-Dissembled “I wrote about Hispanics. You responded about Mexicans.”-debunked.

“In fiscal 2015, 43,159 Cubans entered the U.S. via ports of entry, a 78% “-Neoclown math ignore Legal USA immigration you cited.

Get the anger out my friend, I went for a long hike today after work. I am worn out and I don’t have the energy to be pissed off. But after a couple days, you have to let it go and try to either hope for the best or work on making him a 1 term President.

        • Larry Schmitt November 9th, 2016 at 19:57

But it’s going to be a long four years, having to hear him (I didn’t say I would listen to him) vent his unnatural hatred.

          • Suzanne McFly November 9th, 2016 at 20:28

I don’t know why, but I have a feeling they will find a way to tone him down or shut him up. They took him off Twitter for 4 days before the election so they will now have to do that for the next 4 years.

Poor southern whites have been voting against their own interests for years. Why should they be the only stupid ones? But it’s still sad.
