Newt Gingrich is accusing James Comey of caving to political pressure.

Two days before the election, Comey threw another curveball, telling lawmakers that recently discovered evidence did not change the agency’s decision in July that no reasonable prosecutor would bring a case against Clinton for her handling of classified material through her private server while at the State Department.

“Comey must be under enormous political pressure to cave like this and announce something he cant possibly know,” Gingrich wrote on Twitter.

      tain’t no big thing to resign in disgrace. Hell, you still get your lifetime pension + your cut of the Giuliani Crime Syndicate + receive daily emails of the FBI’s latest fabricated BS about the opposing political party of the people and you can reappear without the “fair and balanced liberal media” reminding anyone that you resigned in disgrace.

      jail time is much better. but not the plush vacation style retreat at a closed Military Base where you have to call in your menu an hour ahead of time.

    Comey made his first mistake when he caved to GOP pressure from his wife and anti-Clinton FBI agents and sent the letter to some congress-members announcing that “new” emails were discovered on Weiner’s phone. He not only damaged his reputation but the FBI’s also. This new announcement that there’s nothing new in the emails isn’t a cave so to speak, it’s a CYA move on Comey’s part, but the damage to his career and to the FBI has been done, and the reason can be placed at the feet of those like Giuliani and others who persuaded him to interfere in a presidential election in the first place. Good luck, Comey, in getting that GOP-inspired rotten egg off your face. In my case, your attempt at redeeming yourself has failed, and I will consider nothing you have to say in the future as being non-partisan and accurate. In my eyes, you’re a GOP tool and will forever remain a GOP tool.

      it’s sure as hell has answered a lot of nagging questions I’ve had over the years. BTW: being that I’ve calmed down somewhat over this OPEN BETRAYAL OF THE REPUBLIC, I would like to apologize for stating that the Nevada white racist uprising was the very first time the USA has backed down from armed terrorist threatening US.

      the FIRST time such a thing happened was in October 1983 when the “new” policy of our Military became : seek and hold the low ground – first time since before Alexander The Great pre 356 BC. and thus opened to a planned attacked that was no doubt mapped from the high ground. 305 people killed, 241 US Military personnel, 220 of those being US Marines.

      one reason these haters of the Republic hold POTUS Reagan in such high esteem I reckon.

      I’ll accept you referring to the TRAITOR OF THE US REPUBLIC as a GOP tool, but it sounds so much better when it’s stated in the language that rudy understands best:

Comey interfered with the election process because he was under pressure by the tRump camp and the GOP, by announcing something he can’t possibly know when he made it appear as though NEW emails were found that could be associated with the original investigation, when he had NOT even seen them. and now that he has and there’s nothing new, they still complain.
