Santorum blasts Kasich: Stain on your ‘character’

Rick Santorum says not voting for Donald Trump is a stain on John Kasich’s “character.”

While speaking to CNN’s Brooke Baldwin, the socially conservative senator explained that he was supporting Trump even though he did not agree with some of the candidate’s words and actions.

…Santorum argued that Hillary Clinton’s character flaws offset concerns about Trump.

“I don’t want my daughters to emulate Hillary Clinton either,” he opined. “This is someone that I find, not just on character, deeply flawed, but also on public policy. See, it comes down to one of them is going to be president. They’re not going to be head of the garden club.”

…“You promised that you would follow through with that,” Santorum continued. “And you knew Donald Trump had a chance because he was leading in the polls at the time to be our nominee and you signed it anyway. You can’t say a man who is not going to keep his word is someone, frankly, who should be paid attention to when it comes to how he’s going to vote.”

“You wouldn’t have been on the ballot, you wouldn’t have been able to run for president had you not signed that pledge. And if you’re out there talking about, ‘Well, he has character that’s beneath the dignity of the office,’ what about that character? What about the character I’m going to tell your kids and grandkids that you signed a pledge, you gave your word to be president of the United States and you backed away from it. Shame on them.”

Interesting that Santorum uses a word like “stain.”

Teh-hee, … Ricky’s just jealous because he has no character! (or at least not one that will withstand a hot-water rinse!)

He should have never been there.

Sanitarium is least likely a good judge of character if he thinks Trump’s character is of lesser concern than Hillary.

    A totally hypocritical numbskull!

I admit I had to laugh too, who really gives a half of a flip?

It was the exclusion of the article “a”…
When Rick is described as a character, I’m liable to pay more attention.

Who is this Santorum character you speak of? What type of title does he have that would lead us to think his opinion is of any importance to anyone?

Speaking of stains… what does “Santorum” mean again?

I was thinking the same thing myself. I mean, who better to judge “stains” than the biggest “skid mark” on the planet?
