New Hillary emails came from Anthony Weiner’s computer
They were discovered when the FBI seized devices belonging to Anthony Weiner and Huma Abedin.
The F.B.I. is investigating illicit text messages that Mr. Weiner sent to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina. The bureau told Congress on Friday that it had uncovered new emails related to the Clinton case — one federal official said they numbered in the thousands — potentially reigniting an issue that has weighed on the presidential campaign and offering a lifeline to Donald J. Trump less than two weeks before the election.
In a letter to Congress, the F.B.I. director, James B. Comey, said that emails had surfaced in an unrelated case, and that they “appear to be pertinent to the investigation.”

Mr. Comey said the F.B.I. was taking steps to “determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation.” He said he did not know how long it would take to review the emails, or whether the new information was significant.

Seems to me this rates a bit more than just a complaint.
he needs to be questioned intensely on what he believes are the proper channels for reporting possible national securities breeches, including what the chain of command should be.

Why in hell did Comey announce this NOW? He had to have known it would inflict injury on Clinton, also that it most likely will turn out to be found to be nothing, after the election.

Bu-ut, it makes me wonder why the FBI would be doing anything at all; unless it is what I said before, that there’s nothing there but they’re having to add something to the files and so they had to tell Congress they were doing it.

info keeps coming up. it’s said that the emails is likely duplicates of emails they’ve already reviewed. i.e., not a damn thing. but, they also acknowledge that none was sent to that address from her nor received. see how stupid this is. they are investigating a sexual predator and just had to throw her in there. but, why AREN’T they investigating tRump who admits to sexual assaults, who is going on trial for the rape of a 13 y/o? and why isn’t any of the ‘news’ stations discussing his fraud trial that starts in Nov? this is such b.s.

He has to know this could affect an already volatile campaign. If Comey was out to get Hillary, he would have already done so.
I think he did it because he had to.
As to what is in those emails and whether it has any real material importance, we can only guess.
The best thing is to sit back, have another martini, and wait for the facts to come in before coming to any conclusions.

The FBI does not report to the NSA.
I’m just guessing, but if the FBI had something to add or change to its files on the case, it seems to me they would be required to tell the appropriate investigating committees about it. It would be bad if they altered what was on file without telling anyone after wrapping up an investigation.
That’s why I’m guessing Comey would have had to let them know.
Of course it could be, and likely is something else.
We just don’t know.
We need to resist the urge to come to conclusions right away on these things. We should wait till all the facts are in. This is a lesson we should have learned with the Duke lacrosse team case, or the McMartin Pre-school case, or any number of others where people jumped to conclusions before the facts were in and then had it blow up in their faces like an exploding cigar in a Bugs Bunny cartoon.
Right now I don’t think there’s anything there, especially after a boss post by WhatThe46, but it’s too early for conclusions.
