Trump: Not paying taxes ‘makes me smart’

Posted by | September 27, 2016 08:05 | Filed under: Politics

Donald Trump didn’t deny escaping paying federal income taxes in some years, but rather bragged about it during the debate.

In fact, he said: “That makes me smart.”

After the debate, he told CNN’s Jim Acosta: “Of course I’ve paid federal taxes.”

Clinton was pressing Trump for not releasing his tax returns for public scrutiny. Trump has said he won’t release his tax returns until a routine audit is complete, though every major party presidential candidate over the past 40 years have released tax returns.

“There is something he is hiding,” Clinton said of Trump during the debate.

“Or maybe he doesn’t want the American people, all of you watching tonight, to know that he’s paid nothing in federal taxes, because the only years that anybody’s ever seen were a couple of years when he had to turn them over to state authorities when he was trying to get a casino license, and they showed he didn’t pay any federal income tax,” she said.

“That makes me smart,” Trump said.

No, it makes him a freeloader. It’s one thing for someone who is classified as working poor to not have enough income to pay taxes on it, but quite another when a so-called billionaire can avoid paying income taxes.

The rich use government services and infrastructure FAR more than working people.

But the rich go to great lengths to avoid paying taxes.

As you say — that’s just freeloading.

It’s not smart. It’s the power and privilege of wealth.

You don’t need a high IQ to write a check to a Republican congressman.

The IRS, FBI, and CIA should jump on this immediately and investigate Rump from the time his daddy gave him millions to the present. I bet there is plenty of evidence to indict and put him behind bars for a long, long time…

Bragging about not paying taxes with 100+ million viewers watching does not make you smart. It does however buys a Sh*t load of rope.

I thought not paying your share of taxes is considered unpatriotic and, most of all, not smart because eventually it will catch up with you and throw your ass in jail and/or be heavily fined.

Well, let’s hope and pray the worst for you, con-man….oooh nasty 😂😎🤓

Trump: “Not paying taxes ‘makes me smart”…
No Donald, it makes you a dead beat tax payer….

No wonder the IRS has had him under audit for the last 15 years.

Trump says that, but he spells “pray” differently.
