9 injured in shooting at Houston strip mall

The shooter opened fire Monday morning injuring 9 before he was shot and killed.

The gunman, who was not identified, was shot and killed by police, authorities said. The man, who lived near the shooting scene, was a lawyer and there were reportedly issues between him and his law firm, interim police chief Martha Montalvo said during a news conference.

Asked if the shooting was an act of terrorism, Montalvo said “I’m not ready to confirm that.”

The gunman was known to law enforcement, officials said, and several guns were found in the man’s car, which was being examined by a bomb squad.

Let’s see how this is handled in tonight’s debate. Flip a coin to see if there is a definite solution

So even an educated man thinks shooting is the right way to resolve “issues.”

i’m reading the shooter was angry with the law firm not that the lawyer was the shooter. i could be wrong of course.

This is from the story at Fox: The shooter was identified as Nathan DeSai, FOX26 reported, citing multiple sources. DeSai had previously worked at McDaniel & DeSai LLP, though the practice closed down at some point within the last year,
Houston Mayor Sylvester Turner said the gunman “appeared to be a disgruntled lawyer who took out his anger and frustration on individuals,” KHOU reported.

thanks. this is the only article i read so, it didn’t sound like it to me. will tRump call him a terrorist or any of the “news” outlets? i doubt it.

For them the only terrorists that exist are the Muslim variety. Seems to me anyone who inflicts terror is a terrorist.

The commenters at Fox are making the usual assumptions, and taking the opportunity to trash-talk liberals. God, I hate Fox.

This is why everyone should have an easily accessible firearm for instances like this. For example, if someone is depressed or angry and they didn’t have a loaded firearm at their fingertips, they’d be forced to obtain one and, in the meantime, rethink his actions. And the NRA doesn’t make its profit from someone who has time to calm down.

It looks a lot like the American way now– there’s always a chance anyone who snaps starts mass shooting.

The man was a lawyer, and probably had nothing in his background to prevent him from purchasing a legal weapon. We can control the flow of guns with regulations and restrictions, but we cannot control somebody snapping.Just as there are those who turn motor vehicles into death machines, there will always be some who misuse guns.

But the NRA doesn’t want us to be able to prevent any shootings.

First quetion asked about this type of shooting,”was it an act of terrorism”. Where does that leave the NRA

Do you think any cops thought ”The first thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”
