Terrence Peterson lost his cool in 2012 and is getting 12  years for it.

Police say Peterson shot his sister’s boyfriend in the chest after arguing with her over dirty dishes left in the sink of a home at the Roodner Court public housing community in Norwalk.

Peterson told his sister’s boyfriend he ‘was going to feel it tonight’, the Advocate reported, citing an affidavit.

Senior Assistant State’s Attorney Maureen Ornousky says Peterson has a history of substance abuse and mental health issues.

Dirty dishes in the sink attracts insects. https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/6b64d84b7d9f8fb8f849c854b0f07ee92f0759fd027a6e2e8e7f5f455cd69e79.jpg

Another case where the gun is the problem.

    No, it’s not just criminals.

There are endless (literally, endless) conflicts made deadly by the presence of a gun.

Somehow I don’t think it would matter in this case.Someone with “mental health issues” as the article says, would use a knife if they don’t have access to a gun.
