Evangelicals ‘lay hands’ on Trump to protect him from satanic attack

Posted by | September 21, 2016 18:31 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics Religion

Donald Trump is so lucky to have the religious right with him.

Appearing at an Christian gathering  in Cleveland on Wednesday, GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump was put under the protection of God by a bevy of evangelicals after the host of the conference said the New York businessman needed to be protected from a “concentrated Satanic attack.”

After Trump addressed a few African-American pastors and a whole lot of white people at the Midwest Vision and Values Pastors Leadership Conference, pro-Trump pastor and co-host of the event, Darrell Scott, took the mic.

Speaking to the attendees, Scott claimed that a “nationally known” — but unidentified — preacher had forewarned Trump “that if you choose to run for president, there’s going to be a concentrated Satanic attack against you.”

well, i think tRump told them not to touch the hair. this was all planned. but, now that you made that comment, i’m thinking, maybe they all were afraid to touch the “hair” as it may have something worse than lice. laying hands is on the head. LOL not the arm or shoulder.

I’ll bow to your expertise. I don’t now, and never have, believed in a literal interpretation of the bible. Me and Evangelicals and Fundamentalists have a fundamental, hell, a foundational difference of opinion, so I have never been at one of their services.

After saying that, I have to also say that I have met Evangelicals and Fundamentalists who were actually lovely and caring people and not the hateful and judgmental Kim Davis’s of the world.

To paraphrase a “meme” from my (misspent) youth:
                    Better sleeping through chemistry!

“Good Christians” keep their faith to themselves.
And let their lives be the example, not their words.

          • bpollen September 22nd, 2016 at 14:38

Good Christians live their religion and strive to be better people.

Then there are the others, who scream and shout and pout and demand fealty and privilege while wearing garish neons signs proclaiming “See how righteous I am!”…. metaphorically, anyhow.

In that bible thing, Jebus says that you should pray in private. Don’t think they paid any attention to that when building the Crystal Cathedral.

Trump would dissolve in smoke if it was a real exorcism.

Belief in laying hands but not climate change=complete nutballs.
