Texas to appeal voter ID ruling to Supreme Court

Still trying to suppress the vote.

The Texas Attorney General’s Office said it planned to appeal a circuit appeals court ruling that weakened the state’s voter ID law to the Supreme Court next week. The announcement came in the state’s response to a court order Tuesday, instructing it to fix language in its voter education materials so that it was in line with a court-approved agreement after the appeals court ruling, which said the 2011 law was discriminatory in its effect.

“Our office still maintains the common-sense measures in the Texas voter ID law are valid and will be filing a petition this week for the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case,” the statement said.

Refresh my memory. Wasn’t Texas that state where they thought they were being invaded by their own country? https://uploads.disquscdn.com/images/e112fe9785ef93f1fa2c130f8e51227175825c0d66dbe9bcb234e0799b2f1f64.jpg

Imagine if they used all this energy looking for the best candidate that would purpose the policies that would help out a majority of Americans, then they wouldn’t have to worry about losing elections.

“Our office still maintains the common-sense measures in the Texas voter ID law are valid…”

Common sense? To block people’s voting rights? To prevent fair elections? That’s not a state democracy…that’s a fascist state controlled by Repulsives. The Supreme Court must shoot this down!

As I see it, with my lack of a JD, their best probable outcome is a draw that kicks it right back down to the lower court. The white conservative male pro-cheating wing and their Stepford Thomas will say “sure, stack the deck.” The other wing, with women and reasonable males will say “the right to vote is fundamental.”

4-4, back down the case goes… to the court who says “You can’t do that.”
