Stoehr: Media responsible for making this a real horse race

Count me among those blaming the media for the tightening polls. Yes, polling data predictably tightens after Labor Day. Yes, those running Hillary Clinton’s campaign against Donald Trump expected a close race from the start. But it’s also true that our media has held the candidates to vastly different standards. For Clinton, anything less than perfection…

    Horse race my ass.
Thanks to the MSM, this countries national election coverage is becoming a punch line to a bad joke. Issues ?!? We don’t need no stinkin’ issues.

Clearly what America accepts from their candidates is now based on a curve. Donald continues to act like the 10th grade stoner trying to b*llshit his way through the assignment he didn’t read as he gives his oral book report to the class.

The media’s trying to trick everyone to thinking it’s close so they don’t lose profits, it’s only close with the popular vote,
it will be President Clinton because the demographics that helped beat Mitt have skewed further to the left.

I find it hard to believe, but there are actually people out there, still, who are waiting for the debates to decide upon a candidate…

That being said, it is crucial that the debates have some basic reliability, not just an opportunity for Trump to blather, lie, insult, and continue as he has for more than a year, with little confrontation by the press or moderators.

Media Matters has sent a letter to the head of the Debate Commission, asking that Chris Wallace be removed as a moderator, as a result of Fox News being so tied to Trump, but most importantly, because Wallace said he would not be a “fact checker”, basically telling Trump that he can continue with his mendacity and bombast.

    The letter here:
