As he has said many times, the fight for progressive issues did not end when Senator Bernie Sanders ended his candidacy for the presidency. In fact, now that he is out of the race, Sanders seems more energized than ever, creating several political and social institutions in order to encourage more grassroots candidates and work to…

Democrats, this could of been glory for you. Instead you rigged the primaries for a warhawk that will probably spread more misery around the planet for the corporate masters.

The gop will keep all the investigations open so no legislation gets done

    • Obewon August 23rd, 2016 at 10:37

As you previously admitted: ‘I have no evidence.’ Not even one Repub investigated your fantasy.

      • mea_mark August 23rd, 2016 at 11:08

At this point, republicans and democrats are both pawns of the oligarchy, they are just different flavors and degrees of evil and corruption.

If Hillary’s the nominee, I’ll vote for her and keep my fingers crossed that she doesn’t cave into republican demands and start another war.

Not bad for a cranky old jew !
So…How do we pay for it
    and more precicely

“While our Democratic nominee may still be in favor of
feckless incremental change, Sanders is still out there, fighting for
    the revolution.”
You had written a good article until you threw the attack line in. If you expect to have help to support Sanders in this, you might want to start by not lying and offending people. When the head winds are going to be even stronger against him with what these insurers are doing, you might want to tone down the attacks on those who he will need.

If you want average, you always ask for the Best. Except in Ice Cream cones. That is when you ask for the smallest because small is only a Foot tall.

      • mistlesuede August 23rd, 2016 at 12:57

We already did that in 2009 with a Democratic Congress and failed.

    • Kick Frenzy August 23rd, 2016 at 11:58

It may be slightly harsh language, but it’s not untrue.

Hillary believes in tiny incremental steps that aim only as far as she’s sure she can go, instead of aiming high and going as far as possible.
She has said so herself and loudly insisted that universal health care will never, ever happen.

What kind of help could Bernie (or the author of the article) hope for out of Hillary when she has already lambasted Bernie and his ideas as untenable?
Should we also be sure never to say anything critical of Trump, in hopes that he would join in protecting refugees and immigrants?

Where was the lie in your quoted sentence? She does want very minor incremental changes, yes?

      • robert August 23rd, 2016 at 12:51

This coming from a Bernie basher throughout the dem debate’s

Be very sceptical about Bernie praises..

        • mistlesuede August 23rd, 2016 at 13:03

What sore losers Berniebots are. LOL
It’s well past time to move on into reality and try to actually get something done.

          • robert August 23rd, 2016 at 13:27

What did Bernie followers lose ? All I see is victory no matter where you look in the DNC

As far as getting things done, you might want to check with the Hillary haters on the other side of the isle

            • mistlesuede August 23rd, 2016 at 13:32

Yes. We saw the Berniebot victory in the childish and disruptive behavior at the RNC and we see it in your snotty comments since then.
The sooner you get over your hatred of the winner and those of us who supported her from the beginning and stop the sniping, you might actually be taken seriously.
              Have a great day!

              • robert August 23rd, 2016 at 13:35

The DNC will see Bernie’s talking points as reality soon enough. Good things come to those who wait

It was pretty obvious. But those who want to re-write history pretend they don’t see it.
She has worn the scars for years of trying to bring healthcare to everyone and now is going to have employ whatever tactics are necessary to bring us to a public option/medicare for all type of alternative.
We all saw how successful those options were under a Democratic President and Congress.

But those who want to re-write history pretend they don’t see it.

I gots no interest in re-writing history, the stuff is boring enough to read much less write! If I’m going to write something, it’s going to be some D grade sci-fi, by God.

She has worn the scars for years of trying to bring healthcare to everyone and now is going to have employ whatever tactics are necessary to bring us to a public option or Medicare for all type of alternative.

I think you are right about her being scarred. She’s shaped by the now ancient HillaryCare battles (where she was fighting a mighty battle against the forces of evil). She’s old school, in many, many ways. That’s why I was in favor of getting someone representing the younger generation as the D. nominee, you know – Bernie ; )

She is in favor of teeny tiny baby steps, when folks suggest bigger steps she accuses them of wanting to dismantle Obamacare, lol. She’s as in favor of incremental change as one can be. That’s just truth, and as you allude to – she has reasons for that position. But it’s still her position.

          • mistlesuede August 23rd, 2016 at 17:37

Perhaps that is why I see this more clearly. I don’t care about sci-fi, but I do pay attention to history. Something people like to re-write to fit their motives.
Don’t forget that more voters chose her ideas over his in the primary. We do not have “feckless” plans and neither does she. It’s great to have big ideas, but when reality comes up and smacks you in the face, you have to do what is possible. PO could certainly address that.
It remains to be seen what Congress we end up with this fall. That may allow faster change. If it does not, it is going to be a long, arduous effort to get to anything resembling universal healthcare and people are going to have to be patient and work together.

            • Um Cara August 23rd, 2016 at 23:44

Don’t forget that more voters chose her ideas over his in the primary.

Haven’t forgotten Hillary won the primaries, for a variety of reasons certainly including the fact that many of her voters liked her health care strategy. (I think the fact that she was the only actual Democrat running by the time the primaries really got underway was the biggest factor in her securing the Democratic nomination, certainly a bigger factor than her health care strategy) Of course, none of that is at all germane to anything I have said.

I just think she favors an incremental approach, and that was what the sentence you quoted was saying, and now you seem to agree she favors an incremental approach. I guess ‘feckless’ is overly provocative for your taste. I can dig it, it’s probably not a word I would use to describe her approach even if I don’t find it particularly offensive. As you and I have been discussing, something like ‘battle worn’ or ‘scarred’ describe Hillary better than ‘feckless’.

It remains to be seen what Congress we end up with this fall.

I’m hoping for an anti-war, anti-death penalty, anti-drug warrior congress to counterbalance whichever of the two likely presidential winners takes power.

I don’t care about sci-fi, but I do pay attention to history.

Sci-fi is like history but in space and with more laser guns. You should give it a shot!

“Medicare-for-all”-Rep. John Conyers bill is always shotdown in congress. https://www.healthcare-now.org/legislation/hr-676/

I’ll take HRC’s public option choice, improving the ACA’s $1,5 T+ federal deficit reductions.

This man is an Open and Honest Worker for the People. He needs Hillary to work with because Trump would Veto any thing he did accomplish.

    Good on you, Bernie!
Your fight for everyone’s best interests is not over and it’s great to see you’re always true to your words.
You are more than any Dem there is who should be fighting for truly Dem principles, ideals and policies that true blue Dems should be embracing and fighting for.
