As if anyone needed a reason to move to Texas or visit there. All you will find is mostly lunatics who believe that seceding is a better option because Texas can take care of itself without all that federal government help. Lunacy I tell you, lunacy. Someone needs to tell these idiots that they can’t secede. They also can’t succeed. From the Texas Tribune site: “The legality of seceding is problematic,” said Eric McDaniel, associate professor of government at the University of Texas at Austin. “The Civil War played a very big role in establishing the power of the federal government and cementing that the federal government has the final say in these issues.”

even if they could, they can have tRump as their prez, we build a wall and make him pay for it, then with our satellite aimed down on Texass, we can watch the Mexicans take it back. and no, no texans allowed in the U.S.

      • Larry Schmitt August 18th, 2016 at 19:03

They think it’s just like the colonies breaking away from England, the way the South thought when they seceded the first time. But the federal government always considered that secession illegal, and any other attempt would be too. That’s what they refuse to understand.

          homeschooling is a ______ ain’t it?

          • Larry Schmitt August 18th, 2016 at 19:05

It depends who’s doing the schooling. It’s hard to teach when you don’t know your gazintas.

            • TiredOldGuy August 18th, 2016 at 19:14

Since they publish the majority of textbooks, the U.S. could refuse to import them based on them being religiously biased and historically challenged.

              • whatthe46 August 18th, 2016 at 20:02

                challenged in every way imaginable.

    • StoneyCurtisll August 18th, 2016 at 20:07

      Exactly…
They can talk sh!t all they want, but it would take a war to do it..

  2. whatthe46 August 18th, 2016 at 18:57

    • robert August 19th, 2016 at 05:32

Wait until the next natural disaster and all will be forgotten.

  4. Larry Schmitt August 18th, 2016 at 19:00

They probably think they can secede, and keep all the military bases, with the jobs, and all the other federal payments they currently get. Hey dummies, those are US military bases. So unless you agree to be occupied, they’re all going to Oklahoma.

    • mea_mark August 18th, 2016 at 19:08

The bases aren’t going anywhere, but Fort Hood would probably expand and be a location for large internment camps. After it takes over Texas.

      • Larry Schmitt August 18th, 2016 at 19:17

        So you’re talking Gitmo north.

    • StoneyCurtisll August 18th, 2016 at 20:06

Texas is already occupied by the federal government…
Don’t you remember Jade Helm 15?….:)

  5. mea_mark August 18th, 2016 at 19:03

Sounds like 3 in 5 Texans want to live in internment camps.

    • whatthe46 August 18th, 2016 at 19:04

      and blame Obama.

    • Larry Schmitt August 18th, 2016 at 19:04

    • StoneyCurtisll August 18th, 2016 at 20:04

      FEMA camps…..;)

      • Red Mann August 18th, 2016 at 21:00

After they secede and Mexico reclaims them, it will be Agencia Federal para el Manejo de Emergencias (AFME) camps.

  6. amersham1046 August 18th, 2016 at 19:11

From Larry Schmitt, The Civil War played a very big role in establishing the power of the federal government and cementing that the federal government has the final say in these issues.” How about all the Blue States get together and expel Texas

    • Buford2k11 August 18th, 2016 at 21:18

I thought that was what Jade Helm was all about…oh wait, that was something else…never mind…

Gwb is on the golden parachute retirement program after starting a never ending war. Sooner or later the middle East will be just like the USA You won’t be able to tell the difference.

At least that’s the gop objective..

    • Gary Parillo August 18th, 2016 at 22:03

Mexico might volunteer to build that wall with that kind of threat.

      • StoneyCurtisll August 19th, 2016 at 19:55

“A great big beautiful wall, the most terrific wall, no one builds walls better than me”..
        (actual quote)

  8. Obewon August 18th, 2016 at 20:02

Buh-bye now. Oh! You owe the USA $1 T+ as your population share of ‘the public debt’-14th A.

3/5 of Texans supporting Donnie said they would support TEXIT from USA if POTUS HRC45 wins! Trump leads Clinton by a margin of 50%-44% in Texas’s vote.

    • whatthe46 August 18th, 2016 at 20:03

      LORD let me out first.

      • ohpaleasegivemeabreak August 19th, 2016 at 08:53

        Hurry quick.

Bring the Neiman’s in North Park with you, please.

        I have a spare bedroom.

    • StoneyCurtisll August 18th, 2016 at 20:03

      That too~!

    • Willys41 August 19th, 2016 at 13:29

Pretty pathetic that Trump is ahead by only 6 points in Texas. By comparison, HRC is ahead of Trump in NY by 25-30 points lol.

  9. Suzanne McFly August 18th, 2016 at 20:21

Woo hoo, average IQ will go up at least 15 points. I wonder how much after Texas leaves we can get rid of Mississippi and Alabama?

  10. Red Mann August 18th, 2016 at 21:01

    República de Tejas.

  11. Buford2k11 August 18th, 2016 at 21:16

this is just like when the kid gets mad at you and threatens to run away…every time something doesn’t go their way, they will pack up and run away…I finally packed the kid a bag and kept it by the door…I haven’t heard anything about leaving since…Now…How do you Texas size that idea?

  12. Gary Parillo August 18th, 2016 at 22:00

I thought we already bombed Agrabah? If G.W. was still in office it would have already been taken care of!

  13. Bunya August 18th, 2016 at 23:09

Why wait? Secede now and take Florida with you.

    • The Original Just Me August 19th, 2016 at 12:55

No, at this time, it looks like Hillary will take Florida.

  14. bpollen August 19th, 2016 at 03:55

If at first you don’t secede, try try again. And mostly out of pique.

  15. crc3 August 19th, 2016 at 11:30

Maybe they can strike a deal and become part of Mexico?

  16. The Original Just Me August 19th, 2016 at 12:54

Good Bye, So Long, We’re Glad to see YOU Go.
There is a possibility that Hillary could take Texas. and it’s not that far fetched. I hope so just so I can Laugh My Ass Off at these Crying, Wailers.

  17. Willys41 August 19th, 2016 at 13:27

9 out of 10 Americans with functional brains would support ALL Trump supporters self-deporting.

  18. liberalMD August 20th, 2016 at 09:35

And I bet three out of five non-Texans would want Texas to secede from the Union REGARDLESS of who was elected president.

  19. gilligan August 20th, 2016 at 11:24

Good. Except for the rational people who live in Texas.
