Conservatives keep fighting with Khan family; Rick Perry: ‘Shame on you!’

Posted by | August 16, 2016 20:01 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Republicans keep fighting with this Gold Star family, and it’s insane.

Former Texas governor and former Republican presidential contender Rick Perry said on CNN Tuesday afternoon that the father of a soldier killed in Iraq “struck the first blow” against Donald Trump.

“Mr. Khan is the one who went out and struck the first blow,” Perry told CNN’s Jake Tapper. “In a campaign if you’re gonna go out and think that you can take a shot at somebody and not have incoming coming back at you, shame on you.”

“I think the Democrats used him in a way that quite frankly I’m not sure that I approve of,” he added. “We love our veterans. We love our Gold Star families. But the fact of the matter is Mr. Khan politically used his time on that stage to go after Donald Trump. Why in the world he thought he was gonna get a free ride with that is beyond me.”

(R-TX) Guber Rick Perry in 2012~ polled 0% with a MoE ± 2%. Then Ricky Bobby ran again in 2016 polling the same 0% with a MoE ± 2%.

Trump fools are the most functionally illiterate on Earth and in the known universe.

These fools are so weak, since when is voicing your opinion taking a shot at someone? If perry’s party had an adult in the room, they would of grown some ovaries and took his opinion and seen if there was some truth in what he was saying. That was a teachable moment they could of used to learn a badly needed lesson, but the republican party acted like little b!tches and showed the world how pathetic they have become.

THIS! Adult in the room. Not holding my breath. Great post.

Remember when that hideous Gold Star mother went after Hillary at the RNC? It was an uninformed, hate filled screed that had no point. Mr. Khan put her to shame. Afterwards when HRC was asked about it, she said she felt bad for the parents who lost their sons and she understood how grief stricken they were. No one else talked about it again.

      • Suzanne McFly August 16th, 2016 at 23:58

And if the right had any decency, they would of had a similar reply to the Khan family and it wouldn’t be a story just like Hillarys response was barely a blip in the news.

          Exactly my point, and yours.

Maybe RDick could take the Kahn’s out to his NiqqerHead ranch for a little R&R…you know, smooth things over…

How many of these a-holes have piled on now? Trump, Guiliani, Paladino, a slew of radio hacks, and now Mister if I wear these new glasses people will forget how dumb I am.
Just when the story seemed to be out of the news, the brain addled brings it back.

I said the same two things on another website. Great minds…

      • mistlesuede August 17th, 2016 at 01:26

        Really?

        • Mister Atoz August 17th, 2016 at 01:33

Yes. I said that GOP was finally glad that the controversy had died down and then the brainiac brought it up again. I also said that the sales of Smart Glasses plummeted.

In case you’re interested, PBS (American Experience) is showing a 2-hour documentary about Jimmy carter at 2:00AM. On my station, anyway. The one about Richard Nixon was very good so I’m sure this one will be, too.

          • mistlesuede August 17th, 2016 at 01:43

That’s funny. Remember when he hugged the bottle of BBQ sauce and seemed like he was on drugs? I don’t think I’ll forget that.
Thanks for the heads up. Have you heard anything more about Carter’s health? I was a little disappointed that he didn’t attend the DNC.

            • Mister Atoz August 17th, 2016 at 01:55

I haven’t. The last I heard I think he said he and the doctors were optimistic. I’ll let you know if the documentary says anything about that.

Well, it’s about to start. We’ll talk soon. XO

              maple syrup.

  7. bpollen August 17th, 2016 at 04:16

No, Little Ricky. Trump attacked ALL Muslims before Mr. Khan ever got on that stage. Mr. Khan has the same right to respond that you are giving Mr. Trump. Why the double standard? Trump strikes first, Khan fights back, and you say that it’s bad for Khan to respond but Trump must respond? That boils down to Trump gets to strike twice and it was wrong of Khan to defend himself.

…says the moron who LOST to the loser Rump…

It’s important to remember that Rick Perry is retarded. Whatever he pulls out of his ass at that moment, becomes a GOP fact. Don’t forget, this is the same guy who thought the city of Juarez was located in Texas (it’s in Mexico), and that the BP oil spill was “an act of God”.
    .
In his defense, he did say something that was absolutely true, but unfortunately, he “misspoke” –
    .
“George W. Bush did a incredible job in the presidency, defending us from freedom.” –Rick Perry in 2010

    Rick’s glasses must need repairs.
