Trump says now even legal immigrants pose a threat

Posted by | August 6, 2016 12:47 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

After going too far in his denouncing of undocumented immigrants, Trump has gone further by telling a Portland, ME audience that even legal immigrants harm America.

At a rally in Portland, Maine, on Thursday afternoon, Trump provided a lengthy explanation of why he thinks the United States needs to be skeptical of immigrants from many countries, even if they follow the legal process. Reading from notes, Trump listed nearly a dozen examples of immigrants, refugees or students who came to the United States legally — often applying for and receiving citizenship — and then plotted to kill Americans, sometimes successfully doing so. The countries that he referenced in these examples: Somalia, Morocco, Uzbekistan (he asked the crowd where it was located), Syria, Afghanistan, the Philippines, Iraq, Pakistan and Yemen (which he pronounced “yay-men”). Trump’s staff has yet to confirm if there are countries from which the nominee wants to limit immigration.

“We’re letting people come in from terrorist nations that shouldn’t be allowed because you can’t vet them,” Trump said. “There’s no way of vetting them. You have no idea who they are. This could be the great Trojan horse of all time.”

Why didn’t he go on to say that most murders in this country are committed by people born in this country? It’s easy to scare people with carefully selected facts.

Heck with it, most violent crime is committed by males so we need to deport them all……well except Derrek Jeter, Brad Pitt, and President Obama. :)

      • Larry Schmitt August 6th, 2016 at 14:12

What about me? I’m not violent, except when it comes to Trump.

The greatest threat to the United States is a self-absorbed megalomaniac who regards some of the most notorious despots — both past and present — as role models.

once again he’d be wrong, then, wouldn’t he?

        1492

The teachers told the children that
this was when their continent was discovered by human beings. Actually,
millions of human beings were already living full and imaginative lives
on the continent in 1492. That was simply the year in which sea pirates
began to cheat and rob and kill them.

        Here was another piece of
nonsense which children were taught: that the sea pirates eventually
created a government which became a beacon of freedom of human beings
everywhere else. There were pictures and statues of this supposed
imaginary beacon for children to see. It was sort of ice-cream cone on
        fire. It looked like this:

kurt vonnegut, jr., breakfast of champions

p.s. my apologies that the illustration did not copy.

Any reference to Kurt Vonnegut, Jr. gets my High Five~!

            thanks. i’ll take it.

it is always nice to meet a fellow vonnegutian.

Once again donny makes no sense.Out of millions of immigrants who come there will of course be some bad actors. So what?Thats what our law agencies are for. Most, the majority, come here to escape the misery in their own nations.Whites that have been here for decades statistically commit a large percentage of crimes. He mentions Philippines. My wife came from there 35 years ago,and loves our nation possiby more than many born here.Donny is once again proving he is an idiot. But thats good that he keeps talking.Keep talking little donny, keep talking!

    • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 19:05

my mother was stationed in the Philippines when she was in the AF. this was in the 70’s she loved being there.

      • Gary Parillo August 6th, 2016 at 19:13

I have never been there, but have a good grasp on what its like from knowing so many of the phillipino people. They are really a kindhearted people, and very down to earth.Actually we can move there anytime i want, just not ready to yet.Im not a big fan of some of there foods though, like pizza more.

        • whatthe46 August 6th, 2016 at 19:26

haha. you really need to figure out a plan to visit her homeland. just don’t forget to get pizza mix and ingredients at your local grocery so you can make some while you’re there. just a little taste of home with you.

          • Gary Parillo August 6th, 2016 at 20:32

I will find the italian barrio of Manila. They probably have one.Seriously though they have all the same restaurants we do,mcdonalds, pizza hut, etc. So think i will be ok.Most I talk to,just as your mother, have told me they love it there.English is a second language they make them learn in school. Most all educated pinoy speak very good english, like my wife she speaks borh languages7.

            • amersham1046 August 6th, 2016 at 20:45

    “Terrorist Nations”??….
What the F Does that mean?

  8. veggiedude August 6th, 2016 at 23:57

He has got to be a ploy to destroy the GOP, as Jessie Ventura says. Why else would he be continually shooting himself in the foot?

    • whatthe46 August 7th, 2016 at 00:10

it’s not. tRump knows the stupidity of the repuking base and all he did was show the world exactly what they are made of. he’s had these beliefs for forever. and there are many in that party that still support him because they love it that he’s saying it. if they had their careers would be over, tRump has nothing to lose. or at least, he believed that going in. since he has announce and has gotten this far, he’s losing money and people are dropping him like flies. this, he didn’t take into account because in tRump’s world, everyone loves him. so he didn’t see failure. well, the ass is getting a reality check.

Because he doesn’t believe he has made any mistakes?

      Signs of narcissistic personality disorder:
Lacks empathy: is unwilling to recognize or identify with the feelings and needs of others

Has a grandiose sense of self-importance (e.g., exaggerates achievements and talents, expects to be recognized as superior without commensurate achievements)

Has a sense of entitlement, i.e., unreasonable expectations of especially favorable treatment or automatic compliance with his or her expectations

Is interpersonally exploitative, i.e., takes advantage of others to achieve his or her own ends

Is often envious of others or believes others are envious of him or her

      Requires excessive admiration

Shows arrogant, haughty behaviors or attitudes

Believes that he or she is “special” and unique and can only be understood by, or should associate with, other special or high-status people (or institutions)
Is preoccupied with fantasies of unlimited success, power, brilliance, beauty, or ideal love

I think he hits every single one.
