Art of the Deal author: ‘Trump has the attention span of a 9-year-old with ADHD’

Tony Schwartz was offended when Donald Trump took credit for writing The Art of the Deal, as Schwartz is the real author. He talked to me on radio Friday night.

Schwartz told me that he never planned to come forward as the author, but he felt he has a responsibility to tell his story, despite threats from the campaign. He also said that Donald Trump does not have a deep wealth of knowledge, mostly due to his incredibly short attention span, which he compared to “a 9-year old with ADHD,” and Donald Trump’s children are probably more capable than he is running a business.

    Dear Mr. Schwartz:
Your unprovoked and viscous attack on our character has not gone unnoticed.
Expect to hear from our attorneys.

Here he is will Bill Maher. He had to spend 18 months with trump to write the book.

He really does not like trump.

And we are lucky because he is one of the few people that worked for trump and did not have to sign the nondisclosure agreement.

Trump has tied people up with the nondisclosure agreement for the past 25 years.

I think Bill Maher can be a bit pompous, but he does get the best panels together.

        • mistlesuede July 23rd, 2016 at 11:40

Agreed. Sometimes he can be really annoying, but sometimes he kills me with how funny he is.

      • mistlesuede July 23rd, 2016 at 11:39

Oops. I didn’t read the thread before writing about this above. It’s too late anyway for what he is saying to make any difference.
Michael Moore certainly spoke for me on that panel. People should not feel too confident that Trump can’t win.

        • whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 15:44

i have to believe that there are NOT that many idiots in this country. he won’t win.

          • mistlesuede July 24th, 2016 at 10:31

            I don’t have your confidence.

      LOL~!

I have a 19 year old grandson with ADD, ADHA, Defiance Disorder and a tendency toward chemical abuse and he is still powers of ten more competent than Trump.

      • bpollen July 23rd, 2016 at 22:33

        But how’s his hair?

        • Red Mann July 23rd, 2016 at 22:40

Longish, sort of dreads, but no comb over or alien life forms.

          • bpollen July 23rd, 2016 at 22:53

Well, the dreads might hurt him at the polls…

            • Red Mann July 23rd, 2016 at 22:56

Well, he’s got 15 years to overcome that.

      • William July 24th, 2016 at 10:03

He no doubt would make a better president as well.

I am counting on the debates will make it abundantly obvious that his guy is a clown should never be near the White House.

Wow, I read some of those comments. It seems there was a meeting of an anti-mensa group.

    • StoneyCurtisll July 23rd, 2016 at 11:30

I hate to say this, but the debates aren’t going to change Trump fanatics minds..
As often as Trump lies, he was telling the truth when he said, “I could shoot someone on 5th Ave, and not lose any support”…..

I doubt if he declared himself “The Anti-Christ” that it would change the delusional trump fanatics mind…..
His followers would just blame it on the MSM and say that “Hillary is worse” (than the anti-Christ)
Delusions are hard to shake when embedded so deeply.

      • mistlesuede July 23rd, 2016 at 11:42

Exactly. At this point I don’t believe there are any “undecideds” either.

        • eyelashviper July 23rd, 2016 at 12:01

I think there are a significant number of those who are not committed yet, and the general has only begun, and many people just don’t pay attention until the last few months.

          • mistlesuede July 23rd, 2016 at 12:09

I hope you are right ELV.

      • anothertoothpick July 23rd, 2016 at 13:08

It might change some of the butt hurt Bernie fans

    • Red Mann July 23rd, 2016 at 22:03

There are still too many, far too many, on the left with the “I don’t trust/dislike/hate Hillary because reasons” side. The reasons are often quite ephemeral but they are willing to take a chance on letting tRump abscond with the Presidency and the Supreme Court and other judgeship appointment which could do irreparable damage to our country because they’re in a snit.

  3. Suzanne McFly July 23rd, 2016 at 11:04

I heard him say that, I have had ADHD all my life so I know exactly what he was talking about. I laughed and laughed, truer words about rump have not been spoken.

    • Snick1946 July 23rd, 2016 at 11:59

As have I. Scary isn’t it, to think about someone like Trump in a position of such power. Thing is, I know my limits, he doesn’t. That makes him dangerous.

      • Suzanne McFly July 23rd, 2016 at 13:13

Exactly, we have lived a life where we are not surrounded by people who said we can do whatever we want and we both apparently have been held accountable for our own actions, where as, he hasn’t .

Boobus Americanus. And they {{{shudder}}} are allowed to vote.

    • whatthe46 July 23rd, 2016 at 15:41

these people are fucking retarded! i just had to use the entire word this time. so sue me. but, damn. really. racist and ignorant idiots getting caught up in their stupidity.

  5. mistlesuede July 23rd, 2016 at 11:30

He was on Bill Maher’s special shows after the convention the latter part of the week. I wish this guy would have been talking publicly like this during the primary season instead of waiting until the damage was done to the political process allowing this campaign to continue. It doesn’t matter now. It is what most thinking Americans had already figured out about Cheeto sphincter face. It’s too late.

    • eyelashviper July 23rd, 2016 at 12:00

He was also served with a cease and desist letter from Trump’s lawyers, and the Don was yapping that he should give back all the royalties from the book..typical.
He seems determined to get out the news now, and the voices from all over are starting to roar.

  6. robert July 23rd, 2016 at 16:08

I hate to disagree with the author but I think there might be a typo here, trump has the IQ of a smart 9 y.o.
