Democrats: Benghazi Committee ‘squandered millions of taxpayer dollars’
Democrats issued their own Benghazi report revealing that millions of dollars were wasted by Republicans and noting that Secretary Clinton was engaged, and not asleep at the switch.
Click here for reuse options!Evidence collected by the House Select Committee on the 2012 attacks in Benghazi, Libya confirms that Defense Department actions could not have saved the lives of four Americans killed, that then-secretary of state Hillary Clinton was actively “engaged” and responsive during the attack, and that no one in the Obama administration lied about what happened, according to a report issued Monday by committee Democrats.
The committee, the Democrats said, “obtained no credible evidence that any Administration official made intentionally misleading statements about the attacks.”
Over the course of the two-year investigation, the minority report said, the panel “squandered millions of taxpayer dollars in a partisan effort to attack a presidential candidate.”
…In the reports, the minority says that Republicans “excluded Democrats from interviews, concealed exculpatory evidence, withheld interview transcripts, leaked inaccurate information, issued unilateral subpoenas, sent armed Marshals to the home of a cooperative witness, and even conducted political fundraising by exploiting the deaths of four Americans.”
“In our opinion,” the report said, “Chairman Gowdy has been conducting this investigation like an overzealous prosecutor desperately trying to land a front-page conviction rather than a neutral judge of facts seeking to improve the security of our diplomatic corps.”

Why this charade has been allowed to go on as long as it has amazes me. The truth can not be allowed to come out, for reasons of “National Security”. We were funneling weapons through Libya to Syria. Everyone knows that, but to admit it would be suicidal. Move on, Trey, or start telling some truths yourself.

And who can forget Susan Rice’s “He served with honor and distincrtion” lie as regards Bowe Bergdahl, nor can we dismiss the tale that the whole Benghazi incicdent was “caused by the video” either. Lie, after lie, after lie is all this administration told the American people – and you darn well know it!

Oh, yeah that was a vicious lie, that wasn’t really a lie at all, just a poorly framed statement. The problem was that the new laws actually expected health insurance policies to be worth a damn and those that were virtually useless could no longer be issued, so those that had them had to change to something worthwhile.
“$2500.00 Obamacare savings” was a campaign promise. Of course after Bush collapsed the economy, all bets were off, besides the Rethuglicans would never allow universal health care.
“He served with honor and distincrtion(sic)” was true as far as anyone knew at the time and, according most military experts was a reasonable thing to say. So not a vicious lie.
Nobody was sure at the time what was behind the attack, there were riots in Cairo the previous day, there is a clear record of some Muslims going crazy if they think their prophet or their book was insulted, so it was perfectly reasonable to think there was a link. However, it is the liars on the right that took a simple mistake at a chaotic time and twist it into an actual, vicious lie.
The point is that well Obama and his administration certainly made some mistakes and may have stretched the truth to some degree or other, these weren’t the calculated, vicious and vile lies the right has been spreading for 8 damn years.
You have your head up your a$$ and you damn well know it.

It’s what our republican led congress is good at, wasting time and money while pointing to the other side. Besides the constant investigating of the Clintons it’s also the constant repeal of the ACA, Planned Parenthood, Welfare programs, Unemployment Insurance, Failure to fill empty positions of gov. agencies and such all the way to the Supreme Court, etc. Has the GOP led congress done anything at all to truly help the country? Not really but they’re excellent at spending time and money doing anything and everything to advance themselves……and no one or any thing else.
