Orlando massacre was one of 43 shootings Sunday

Forty-two other shootings took place the day the word was focused on Orlando.

These shootings, albeit more granular, paint a tragic picture of just how common gun violence is in the United States — and how it claims thousands of lives annually, outside of mass shootings.

For example:

In New Mexico, a man shot and killed his wife and four children, ages 14, 11, 7, and 3. They were found dead in their home by a relative; the shooter, who fled the scene, is still at large.

Seven separate incidents in Chicago left three dead and nine wounded. In one case, two men were shot and killed while sitting on their porch in the South Side of Chicago. They had just attended a funeral for their friend, who was also killed in a shooting.

And yet if you go to other sites, gun advocates are wheeling and dealing stats claiming gun deaths are lower than almost everything else that’s fatal. Not only here but elsewhere in the world especially in countries with strict gun control. And of course the continuing claims of ” it’s the presidents fault” ”if more people were armed the death toll would’ve been less” ”guns are not the fault” etc. Reminds me of those old cartoons where an ostrich running from danger stops and shoves its head in the ground.

NUCLEAR ARMS are by far the SAFEST weapon one could have for self defense.
NOT ONE (1) single American has yet to die in the streets from an accidental or intentional use of a NUCLEAR ARMS.

      KEEP AMERICA SAFE

DEMAND THE US GOVERNMENT SUPPLY EACH AND EVERY HEAD OF HOUSEHOLD WITH A MIN. 30K NUCLEAR ARM!

that’s bound to have an impact on gun crimes.

Impact only outside the blast radius. Inside, more like a vaporizing influence. Curtis LeMay would have loved your proposal.

    How many were gang related?
How many by people who by existing law can’t have a weapon?

The wild wild west. That’s who we are and will remain until the NRA is GONE, the 2nd Amendment is changed to conform to today’s weaponry and gun law legislators who appose reform are GONE….

    We are clearly becoming desensitized.
