90-year-old told she can’t ride park’s ‘white knuckle ride’

But it was her birthday!

Joyce Wathes, from Tamworth, Staffs, had been looking forward to riding the white knuckle rides at Drayton Manor Theme Park with her great-grandchildren.

The Land Army veteran had queued up to go on a 60ft drop log flume but was told by ride operators if the ride got stuck she would be incapable of climbing down herself and would be a danger to other passengers.

    Doesn’t strike me as unreasonable.

Wouldn’t it actually be unreasonable to assume every person that ever rode that ride was capable of climbing down unaided …???
      Let the old babe ride…!!!

        Oh, you are probably right.

But roller coasters and 90 year olds still strike me as a bad combination.
