Under fire for contradictions about money raised for veterans and where it went, Donald Trump used the occasion of announcing his great generosity to attack the press.
Click here for reuse options!“What I don’t want is when I raise millions of dollars, have people say this sleazy guy right over here from ABC, he’s a sleaze in my book — you’re a sleaze because you know the facts and you know the facts well,” said Trump.

During the Trump Tower press conference, Trump announced that he raised $5.6 million for veterans groups, down from the $6 million he originally said that he raised for veterans group at the January fundraiser he held in lieu of attending a Fox News debate. But since his initial claim, it’s been unclear just how much Trump raised, how much he personally donated to veterans groups, and which groups received donations as a result of the fundraiser. Trump on Tuesday characterized the number as “almost $6 million.”
Throughout the press conference, Trump railed against the press for looking into the details of his fundraiser.
“The press should be ashamed of themselves,” he said, telling reporters, “You make me look very bad.”

In the Donald’s defense I have to say the press has pretty much given him a pass so far…some might even say they’ve helped him along for the ratings boost…now, all of a sudden they want answers to serious questions….????

They gave the trumpster a pass ? I rcall donald blowing off numerous accusations / questions since his announcement over 5 months ago. Kudos to this reporter by telling Trump he’s not getting away with it.

hey, just a suggestion, but how’s about asking condon to produce his TAX RETURNS like all the others in/were in the race have long ago done?
you can find out a lot of stuff about a candidate just by reviewing their tax returns, like what they invest in, how much of their investments are TAX FREE what kind of donations they make to help the less fortunate, what percent of their income is taxable and what percent do they pay compared to just plumbers and stuff. Might even find out what their favorite color is, I’m thinking condon’s has got to be chickensh*t yellow (goes well with his orange skin) -even though he tries so hard to hide behind red, white and blue (all made in China of course).

Trump “gives” millions to vet group and lo and behold, those groups endorse Trump for President. The only “sleaze” I can see here is the way entitled billionaires think they can buy support and lie their way into the whitehouse.

No but I think he just looks like hell lately. Totally flabby, florid and unhealthy looking. IMO he’ll be lucky to get to November without a major health event. All that anger isn’t helping.

Trump recently claimed that he is “presidential” because — in his humble opinion — he is “a winner”, and that’s only qualifier for being a great President.
In reality, if Trump was required to critique an opponent’s policy positions or respond to a non-sympathetic reporter’s questions without wading in the cesspool of puerile, petulant, petty insults … he would be speechless.
Bottom line:
Poor Donnie has no clue what it means to be presidential, and he continually demonstrates that he lacks the character, self-discipline, temperament, and sound judgment necessary to serve as the elected leader of the American people.
