I remember when the NRA was a GOOD organization…Teaching Gun Safety was their prime directive…with so many guns around, we really need to teach gun safety no matter how you feel about guns…the reality is…we have guns, and we need to be safe and secure with them…Education is one weapon we can use to increase the awareness of the danger of guns…I live in a “gun culture area”…My house has been hit by stray bullets…I have had to find cover from these same stray bullets…My point is…I educated my children in the safe handling and use of firearms…the reason is obvious, all of our friends, and neighbors own firearms…and I wanted my kids to be able to recognize the immediate danger of a mishandled weapon…and to be able to handle a firearm themselves…Education…Fear sells guns, education and training may be the answer to this fear..

It’s funny though, at NRA conventions, no one is allowed to have functioning weapons, only the security is allowed to have firing pins in their guns.

Most of the convention visitors didn’t get lost either on the way to or the way from the convention. Success!
