On Good Morning America today, a married gay Republican name Todd Calogne addressed Ted Cruz and, citing so-called religious freedom laws, asked, “What would you as president do to protect me and my husband from that institutionalized discrimination?” Cruzdanced around the question for a while, and eventually George Stephanopoulos asked him about his support for a…

“Leave it to the States” is the default answer when they don’t want to answer. It’s like “Go ask your mother”.

Leave it to the states, but don’t leave it to the municipalities, like in Charlotte?

I’d love to see Ted answer that one.

The more people know about Raphael Cruz the less they like him. Even Congressmen are willing to commit suicide if he’s the nominee.

Aren’t the States obligated to follow the Full Faith and Credit Clause in the Constitution….???? Thought so…
Cruz is a Constitutionalist, like Palin is a scientist

One more reason why this asshole can never be president. We don’t want separate marriage laws in each state, we’re supposed to be one country.

He is not a Constitutionalist, he is more of an ‘originalist’…you know, someone who thinks like people did in 1776.

He doesn’t believe this, he isn’t a Christian and he has no respect for the Constitution but he’s smart, manipulative and without conscious. He’d paint himself pink and dance naked in the public square if it gained him votes. He’s worse than someone misguided by their faith.

Totally amoral and taught since birth that he has a divine mission. Probably doesn’t buy the divine part, but he certainly believes he has a great destiny.

The inherent ugliness and insensitivity of his comments aside, let’s look at Teddy’s claim from a feasibility standpoint.

Would a person of mixed ethnicity be required to marry someone of identical mixed racial heritage in the America envisioned by this bozo?
Or would they be forbidden from marrying at all, treated as pariahs much as Cruz and his like-minded bigots view the gay community?

Or are these questions too complex for their simple minds to comprehend?

Every time Ted open his mouth he is able to make Donny look almost smart, which takes some doing
