Who can be a grower/processor or operate a dispensary in Pennsylvania??

People with big bucks for one thing, and who go through a lot of
state hurdles. Growers/processors will have to put up a $10,000
application fee, an initial registration fee of $200,000, and have $2
million in capital, including $500,000 on deposit in a bank.
Dispensaries will have to put up a $30,000 initial registration fee for
each location, a $5,000 application fee, and have $150,000 on deposit in
    a bank…

It’s not like are making it difficult or anything….:)

I cant smoke anyway, even if it was legal in my state…
My occupation falls under the same federal guidelines of Airline pilots, railroad engineers, and commercial drivers, mandatory random test…
But it’s not like I’m missing out..
I smoked for decades and honestly dont miss it…
        Cough..:)

Well you don’t have to smoke it, just growing it would be a very lucrative job. You would never have to worry about being unemployed because that business would have a lot of peaks and very few valleys lol.

They’re gonna keep the little guy little in Pa.
I’m sure dispensary licenses will go to the well connected as well as the well off.

If ya read the restrictions on the Penn medical marijuana law..
It’s a whole lot easier to get weed from a friend or neighbor than from a yet to be establish licensed dispensary…

Sounds much like NY state law. Provide nonsmokeable only…
Because after all…somebody’s got to get rich off it.

Patients could take marijuana in pill, oil, vapor, ointment or liquid form, but would not be able to legally obtain marijuana to smoke or grow.

So it’s just another bullsh!t law to sell processed cannabis…like half the other states…
    Thanks, but no thanks….

Many do, but you don’t just risk jail…they’ll take your house…

        • whatthe46 April 19th, 2016 at 01:33

and how will the “po po” know?

          • Mike April 19th, 2016 at 09:21

Growing quality pot is hard to keep a secret unless you either live in a remote area or spend a lot of time, money and effort, filtering the air…
A simple domestic dispute next door could bring the cops to your house. The mailman, paperboy, or delivery person could turn you in…your electric bill could tip them off, especially with the new smart meters they have installed.
