    People need to Google “NATIONAL COUNCIL OF NEGRO WOMEN, INC”
    If the word “negro” was such a “RACIST” word, why do the black women members of ‘The National Council of Negro Women’ EMBRACE the word “negro”?

      They are not embracing anything. A quick look at their website shows that word negro appears only in the name of the organization which was created in 1935 by Mary McCleod Bethune. But you keep right on making excuses for this bigoted idiot. Then when blacks once again vote 90%+ in December, when you wonder why, you might consider that blacks want nothing to do with a party whose base consistently demonstrates that it cares absolutely nothing about the values in our community.

        Supposedly, according to people on Twitter, people who are handling the ballots are dressed up in “Trump attire,” ID’s aren’t being checked, people are voting twice, they ran out of ballots, the people handling the ballots are looking at them and deciding whether or not to put them in the ballot box, and some polling places didn’t even open.

        How much of that is true, I have no idea. But if any of it is true, needless to say, it’s cause for concern.

          I am having a bad time with this computer. I have to keep shutting it down because it freezes. If I disappear again, I’ve given up. I have to get it running tomorrow and start the scans again, but something else is happening. Damn.
          Oh man. That really would not surprise me. I turned on CNN after they left the Democratic stuff and I saw a man playing with paper ballots with a Trump t-shirt on and I thought that seemed like a very bad situation. Then I put music on. Something stinks there. Maybe Trumps mafioso friends got involved this time.

              I am replying only from my comment profile and so far things have been okay. I swear there is a problem with Alan.com with those embedded stories, but not being a geek, I don’t know for sure. I’ll do a full system scan tomorrow and hopefully if I just let it run and don’t go to any websites while it is working, perhaps it will find something and fix it.

                Mitt’s been busy with work so he hasn’t been commenting as much. I’m glad he’s back, though. Like you, he has a great wit and tells it like it is. You both have a way of coming up with devastating one-liners while I tend to go on and on. Every now and then I think I come up with a good one of my own, though.

                I see that “Glove” thingy followed me here. If it replies to any of your comments just ignore it. It has some very serious issues.

                  Right now there are black lines that keep flashing on and off at the top of the screen. That is usually followed by it freezing up and me shutting it down. When I move to my profile page, it stops.

                    Graphics card(Remove, clean slot and contacts, re-install)
                    Bad RAM (run ram self test from BIOS, try above fix)
                    Corrupted Chrome files(uninstall, re-install)

                      OMG!
                      This sounds like a job for my son but he doesn’t have much time right now. Next choice, the husband who is not quite as computer savvy.
                      I will start number four option right now. I think the Yankee chocolate layer cake candle I’ve been using may have attracted bad spirits. Better switch out for something else. :)
                      Earlier today I was able to comment on a few stories and then it happened again. I’m also able to travel around the internet(s) with no problem.

                  It seems the only place I’ve had the problem is on Alan.com. I’ve been to shopping sites today to see if it happens there and it does not.
                  I was able to comment a bit here today with it only acting up bad enough to shut my computer down once. I did see the black lines after that but closed the page and stayed away so that it didn’t freeze up. I didn’t have enough time today to keep experimenting though, not that I want to! I’m afraid I’m going to end up with a huge problem.

                    I wish that I could help. That it only happens on one site might indicate that the problem is on their end. But it’s strange that whatever is happening is causing such severe problems.

                    When I had Windows I used to use this site and it seemed pretty good at detecting issues. The scan is free and doesn’t do anything to change your system in any way:

                      Thank you Dave. It does seem very odd. One of the mods read where we were talking about the problem the other day and had some suggestions, but I have to ask our son what he thinks about them and he’s a bit busy right now with the new job and getting ready to leave this weekend for Cleveland for two weeks of training.

                      It’s a good thing I don’t need to hear in order to read. I hope it returns to normal tomorrow. Going to see Springsteen is an experience. He played for three and one half hours! Every time we thought it was going to be over, he’d get another guitar and play a set of a different kind of music. He ended with the “Shout” song which just happens to be the Buffalo Bills music but you might know it from Animal House.
                      I just saw a couple of clips from the “debate” on CNN. Good Lord.
                      Here is a not so great photo of Bruce crowd surfing. He was amazing.
