Walmart Refused To Print This Engagement Picture

Walmart sells guns, but wouldn’t print up a picture with guns in them.

Stephanie Wehner and her husband-to-be Mitch Strobl posed for a series of engagement photos, including one that reportedly showed Strobl slinging a 12-gauge Ruger Red Label over-and-under shotgun over this shoulder. But when they went to Walmart to retrieve their 13 photos, they only got 12 back – and a note that read “MINUS ONE 5×7. NO WEAPONS,” reports the Daily Mail.

A Walmart employee reportedly explained to the couple that she felt the photo promoted “gang violence,” something that is against “store policy,” and that she was sorry, but she wouldn’t process it…

Walmart issued a statement in which it blamed the new employee for mishandling the situation.

“We had a new associate who was misinformed. Her actions are not consistent with our policy,” the spokesperson said.

$500,000 mistake by that employee right?

    • tracey marie January 7th, 2016 at 12:31

why, there was no illegal discrimination.

      • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:08

The employee caused mental hardship by claiming their posed picture “promoted gang violence” I am sure that hurt their feelings and should be worth at least a half mil right?

Or maybe they’ll handle it the way a true right-wing ammosexual would, by storming the Walmart and shooting everyone in sight.

          • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:32

“Ammosexual” – so maybe this was discrimination based on sexual orientation?

            • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 14:48

Good point, but no court would recognize ammosexuality as a protected class. They would be in the same category as pedophilia and bestiality.

              Questioned another ammosexual. LOL

      a mistake isn’t a payout.

Some real Redneckery afoot in that pic!

  4. rg9rts January 7th, 2016 at 13:06

I could see that position if they had pictures of the other weapon

  5. Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 13:23

Not gang violence, but definitely domestic violence. Tragedy in the making.

    • mistlesuede January 7th, 2016 at 13:28

Unless she enjoys it which looks like a distinct possibility from this photo. Seriously, WTH is wrong with her?

      • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 13:42

Enjoy, until that harrowing 911 call, the loud bang, and the chilling silence on the line.

      • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:06

My God – she may even like to shoot guns herself!!! Oh the humanity! Where are the fainting couches?!?

        • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 14:25

          Sick people.

Guns are deadly weapons, not sex toys.

        • mistlesuede January 7th, 2016 at 14:34

You just made my point for me. Thanks! LOL

          • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:39

What is wrong with women shooting guns and enjoying it? Do you think women should not be police officers, in the armed forces, or any other profession that may require them to carry a gun?

            • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 14:45

When guns are used as tools for your job, that’s fine.

When they’re used as toys, that’s where there’s a problem.

              • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:54

So if you are required to practice shooting a gun for your job that doesn’t turn you into a walking domestic violence case?

                • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 14:56

Of course not. You’re just being silly now.

                  • mistlesuede January 7th, 2016 at 18:44

This troll is a real dumb a$$.

            • mistlesuede January 7th, 2016 at 17:42

Are you seriously comparing this nitwit photographed like this for her “engagement” photo, “developed” at a wally world store, with a female officer of the law or in the armed services?
I know you’re not real bright, but that is just a stupid statement.

    • Jimmy Fleck January 7th, 2016 at 14:05

A picture with a gun in it promotes domestic violence? Should it be a requirement that all police officers are single to help prevent domestic violence?

      • Richard Banville January 7th, 2016 at 14:20

All I’m saying is that there’s something sick about loving your gun so much that you think it ought to be part of your engagement picture. It’s like a ménage à trois with a deadly weapon.

If I were her, I’d run away from this psycho as fast as possible.

If a police officer felt the need to pose with his service weapon for a similar picture, I’d feel the same way.

        In some cases, yes.

  6. mistlesuede January 7th, 2016 at 13:24

Okay. Just how seriously mentally impaired is this woman to believe that this is what an “engagement” photo is, want to have a gun in said photo, and want to marry a dolt who thinks this is a good idea for a “engagement” photo?
Can you say desperation and mental health problems?

  7. William January 7th, 2016 at 16:26

Relax. That clerk is likely not working there because she got laid off from NASA when the space shuttle program shut down.

  8. William January 7th, 2016 at 17:39

This is one of the few times I am at issue with most of the people here. That particular shotgun is popular among people who like to trap/skeet shoot. It’s a pretty relaxing sport, and even the President does it. It’s also one of those sports where the playing field is level between the genders and popular among couples. He might be a bird hunter. Either way, I think it’s important to not brand all gun owners. Had it been a photo of a camo-clad cretin pointing his plastic stocked mini fourteen and 30 round mag at the camera, maybe I’d raise an eyebrow. The NRA and Turd Nugent do not speak for all gun owners. Personally I think it’s a great photo, and wish the happy couple a long and happy life.

  9. tracey marie January 7th, 2016 at 16:43

Blacks with guns are gangs and thugs, whites with guns are victums.

  10. Dr. Arthur Frederick Ide January 7th, 2016 at 17:34

The clerk had the right answer. Not Walmart: it is more interest in profits than safety.
