Kentucky Clerk Kim Davis: I ‘Failed So Miserably At Marriage’

Posted by | December 26, 2015 10:47 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

At least she can see the irony of her acting as the defender of traditional marriage.

Davis, who has been divorced three times, reflected on her role in the same-sex marriage debate in an interview with the Associated Press Tuesday. “How ironic that God would use a person like me, who failed so miserably at marriage in the world, to defend it now,” Davis said. “The Lord picks the unlikely source to convey the message.”

Davis called the same-sex marriage debate “a very emotional and a very real situation to all people” and told the AP she thought the Supreme Court decision “awakened” Christians across the Country.

The clerk said she felt simply sharing her beliefs wasn’t “going to make anybody believe anything,” adding, “no one would ever have remembered a county clerk that just said, ‘Even though I don’t agree with it, it’s OK. I’ll do it.’”

“If I could be remembered for one thing, it’s that I was not afraid to not compromise myself,” Davis added.

So what better reason do you need to judge other peoples relationships?

You also failed miserably at being a clerk, so just fade away.

“How ironic that God would use a person like me…”

Don’t you just love the way these religions types use their god as a scapegoat for the hatred and bigotry?

We know the kind of failure you are, and it’s not in your married life.

failed at everything else including living your life without judgement or hatred as your god apparently lived his, but no you had a chance to use your position to encourage your bias towards a group of people who just want to be left alone, have never done anything to you but you loved your fame, loved your bohunk of a husband could dress like a goober, you could hold hands with Huckabee who you should know held hands with Josh Duggar who diddled his sisters with those hands. You are a sell out. If you wanted to make a point. Quit and stand on your principles but you wanted the money and the fame.
