Texas School District To Arm Teachers, Provide Guns

Posted by | December 21, 2015 08:59 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly

Keene, Texas will allow some teachers to carry guns and will provide them.

When he was hired on three years ago, Superintendent Ricky Stephens was against arming anyone inside schools. Now, he says, the world has changed and so has his opinion.School board members in Keene approved a policy that would allow a few select staff members inside its four campuses to carry a gun.

The carriers would be selected by the district, who would do so only if they wanted to and would carry a gun provided by the district.

Especially when report cards come out

It’s far easier to disarm student terrorists, than hire teachers as killers snuffing out kids.

Just more “good guys with guns,” right?

  3. Larry Schmitt December 21st, 2015 at 09:22

Allowing guns around schoolchildren? What could possibly go wrong?

    • Carla Akins December 21st, 2015 at 09:51

Exactly. Anyone that has ever spent anytime around kids should know that they can get anywhere and find everything.

      • Larry Schmitt December 21st, 2015 at 09:56

All those news stories of kids shooting themselves are proof of that.

Well then, there is only one solution. We should arm the students to protect themselves from the bad teachers with guns.

It’s very easy to find them when the good guys with training leave them in the bathroom or common areas which has already happened.

yeah, because teachers can’t ever snap.

How sad that the so-called greatest country on earth has devolved into the ‘wild, wild west’. How absurd.

Because schools are war zones. s

Paid for by the tax payers, this is going to go horribly wrong

  7. Tommie December 21st, 2015 at 11:19

The teachers that are allowed to carry better be trained or there will be plenty of lawsuits going on!

    • Larry Schmitt December 21st, 2015 at 11:23

Training doesn’t seem to help stop “accidental” killings. Just last week a cop’s son found a gun and shot himself.

and they teach what? cruising the halls, toilet checks, lunch squad? there’s a sickness pervading the usa and it does not need “alien” invaders to make terror real.

  9. labman57 December 21st, 2015 at 13:59

Remember, only “bad guys” get shot by “good guys with a gun”.
(Pay no attention to the countless examples across the nation of accidental and rage-based shootings occurring behind the curtain!”

Texas seems to be always ahead… in the wrong.

  11. bpollen December 22nd, 2015 at 06:48

The people who want to carry in school are exactly the sort of people who should NOT carry in school.

    • Gina Bousquet December 22nd, 2015 at 15:03

Pure conservative logic, mostly idiots love guns that bad.
