An 11-year-old student in Boca Raton, Florida, has filed suit against the Palm Beach school board because public schools in the district refuse to teach evolution as part of the curriculum.

Brandon Silver, along with his attorney dad, Barry Silver, filed the 18-page lawsuit late last month.

Barry Silver told a local TV station:

It’s such a magnificent story and it’s being neglected. The students are being deprived of learning from it because certain religious people don’t like the story because it contradicts the Bible and we think it is terrible that children shouldn’t learn the truth about where they came from….READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

And the school boards are supposed to be run by adults.

Now do you see why Germany, Japan, and South Korea are so far ahead of us in math and science?

    • Suzanne McFly December 18th, 2015 at 20:54

Other countries don’t test all students like we do, some only test their best (such as Honors) students.

      • Boltorama December 18th, 2015 at 20:57

And they don’t have as many religious nutjobs as we do.

I wish we could even it out and give them some of ours. If we did though, WW3 would begin.

But God is not portrayed as a blonde white guy, otherwise it would be perfect.

Well the sheikhs in Riyadh are not fond of gays, women, and religious minorities. They’re just like the RWNJS here. They would get along fine.

well, in the Saudi customs, they see nothing wrong with a man using a young boy for … uh…

well now, you could be righter than you first thought.

using oil IS a sin -only when gasoline is below $3.99/US gal.

Homopalins, however, contridict the genus Homo. While logic indicates their existence should have terminated long before Homo habilis, they defy all steps in our species development. While have a sufficient sized cranial cavity for average current development, they still lack language skills that are associated with Homosapien qualifications.

Either a great scientific mystery, alien invasion of an inferior species -or what many consider to be the missing link in Human evolution.

I didn’t know thee were any intelligent people in Florida. Guess there are, and there is hope for education beyond football.

    • Tom Mitchell December 19th, 2015 at 02:51

We could go down the list of top ranked universities in Florida. The #1 research projects that piggybacked the invention of the PC from IBM in Boca Raton in conjunction with Darpanet/internet with Berkley. I was with IBM then in Boca. Some very brilliant people. Then went to Dell etc…home office from Florida. Let’s see our sports feats. The ONLY school to win the national title in div 1A football and the basketball title in the same year. The number of technology patents issued to companies for leading edge computer products etc… Florida has some incredibly intelligent people. Some older people had trouble voting. Get over it!

        you live in a bubble.

      • bpollen December 19th, 2015 at 16:03

Every state has intelligent people. Get over your Florida inferiority complex.

I am getting a salary of more than 3700 dollars each week , that is awesome. Over a year ago I was in a horrible condition , jobless and Bank account with only few bucks . Thank one of my friends showed me a way where I was able to gather my self and making average of 85 d/h. So it can change your life as it has changed mine.

Don’t let religious idiots on school boards! Every election has consequences!

If you start following the money trail, you, more than likely, will find a Koch brother’s corrupt organ somewhere in the mix….they have spent years corrupting school boards, and purchasing entire School Departments for the expressed purpose of teaching THEIR brand of politics….and it is not good for America…Fascism is not a distant threat to this country…it is much closer to us than any foreign threat…these are the terrorists we need to be concerned with…

    • lindsncal December 19th, 2015 at 16:24

You are so right. The Kochs are spending a fortune on keeping their name out of the news and this is one of the things they demand when they donate large sums of money to schools.
They are responsible for just about every bit of bad legislation in recent years from cities, states and congress and people don’t have a clue.

      • Buford2k11 December 19th, 2015 at 16:54

yep, we need to change that…the Koch State of Kansas is the poster child for what they want for the rest of the country…even the courts in Kansas are being screwed with, big time, by Koch cronies….Brownback and his AG….voter ID, followed by voter purges, followed by “new or remanufactured voting machines”….Toto has left Kansas……

        • lindsncal December 19th, 2015 at 17:28

Yes, but every time you show them this, they say and believe that Soros is just as bad.
The agenda of today’s republicans is exactly the same as the Koch’s for the last 50 years. Republicans threw them out of their movement in the eighties calling them greedy and fascist but since then they’ve bought gov’t state by state.

          • Dwendt44 December 20th, 2015 at 00:52

Yet they never mention that George Soros is a piker compared to the Koch brothers. He spends about as much on politics as as the Kochs spend on caviar.

        • cwazycajun January 8th, 2016 at 10:43

wisconsine is Kansas’s twin Koch bitch

          • Buford2k11 January 8th, 2016 at 10:55

Michigan is in trouble now as well…Rick Snyder (R-Poisoned Water) is the poster boy for Corruption in A Suit….the Republican/Bircher attacks on our democracy is starting to shine through the fog of propaganda…we need MORE sunshine, before the Koch brothers takes it all away….This the Kochtopus that has been mentioned before….the Koch Boys are a large part of the problem in the States…

Conrad Lorenz said that homosapiens is the missing link hopefully leading to an eventual humane being.
