Bristol Palin: Starbucks Cups Is ‘Attempt By The Left To Make Christians Look Stupid’

Posted by | November 10, 2015 12:41 | Filed under: News Behaving Badly Politics

Thankfully, the pundit we’ve been waiting for has weighed in on Starbucks’ War on Christmas.

On her blog this week, Palin explained that the media had inflated one person’s call for a boycott after Starbucks decided to omit snowflakes and reindeer from its annual red holiday cops.

“And the media RAN with it,” she wrote. “They used one small group’s opinion about the cups and began attributing it to the greater Christian community.”

“The mainstream media and the Left love their outrage machine where they claim the world is ending because any number of tiny people have expressed hurt feelings on social media. So now, they’re taking a tiny fraction of people’s response and attributing it to all conservative Christians.”

Palin added: “Do not buy in to the media hype surrounding this story!! It is just another attempt by the LEFT to make Christians look stupid.”

But even Palin said that she had chosen to buy her coffee at the local Mocha Moose instead of patronizing Starbucks.

It is just another attempt by the RIGHT to claim their a war on Christmas.

Just like when Pres. Obama sent the military to attack Texas earlier this year.

Sometimes, the Big Fear Factor sounds as Stupid outside of Religion as it does Inside of Religion.

Uhhh, no, they claim it is the Left that is waging a “war” on Christmas.
While the rhetorical use of the word ‘war’ is questionable, the fact that there are many on the Left who try to ruin this wonderful holiday is evident to anyone viewing this site or many others.

It used to not be that way.
For decades of my life Christmas was in a sort of DMZ. Those who were not Christians left it alone, realizing hat a special time it is for Christians.
      I don’t get it.
I feel no desire to go out and attack Ramadan or Yom Kippur or holidays practiced by Buddhists, Shintoists or American Indians, for that matter. If I do any reading up on them it it just to find out more out of curiosity rather than seeking things to argue about with those celebrating those holidays.
To me, it just isnb’t right to treat people that way, even those I disagree with on politics.
Indeed, one of the things I like about Christrmas is the way people of different political views can set aside their differences and have a good time together. This is how it is in my family and I am looking forward to a special, warm, loving time with all of them.

Except you and the faux xtians are trying to gin up contraversy, again. Your claim that non xtians are starting a war or deriding xmas is ridiculous. No one but the right are being rude and basty because they feel everyone and everything should bow down to their beliefs and wants. That is fact.

Oh I would be so happy to be wrong on this one!
I’m not even thinking about Christmas yet, but after Thanksgiving it would be so nice to not have people picking arguments about the origination of the holiday and all that. Yes, I know it was once called Saturnalia and was a pagan celebration and that there were no wise men at the birth and Frosty the Snowman wasn’t there and neither was Santa. I don’t care.

It is a very special, precious time for me. It is one where I recall Christmases as a child and the fun we had. My parents are pretty old and I treasure every time I can be with them and this is an extra special time.
It is a time when differences with others are set aside, and brotherhood prevails.
It is a tender, beautiful time, a time of love and warmth.
It is a magical time for little children.

For many years I didn’t celebrate it, I dropped out entirely. In recent years I’ve come back. I like it all, from Rudolf to Frosty to Charlie Brown’s Christmas. I love being with my family and when my mama brings out the nativity set she made. I love it all.
Every year I watch my favorite Christmas movie. I believe the title is “A Christmas Memory.” It is narrated by Truman Capote and basically has only 2 characters, a little boy and his dotty aunt, living poor in rural Mississippi. It is worth going out of your way to see.

For me the best part is when I get the Christmas Spirit. It never fails to appear, though sometimes it wasn’t until Christmas Eve. Last year I got it about 2 weeks out and wallowed in bliss. It’s just something that comes over me and I get lifted in a way that is hard to describe. It is a special, precious, lovely and pure thing and I wish it for everyone.

I would love to have the season come and go without the rancor by those trying to ruin all of that.
If someone tells you to bow down to their beliefs I’ll stand up for you.
It would be nice if you were to tell people here trying to argue about Christmas to knock it off and to leave it alone.

Last year I sent one of my stories to those I was close to. This year I am going to send a piece of fine art.

Such a nice, wholesome christian girl, has she let on on who the daddy of baby number two is yet or was she too drunk that night and can’t recollect who or how many?

    • burqa November 13th, 2015 at 05:19

So slutshaming is back in style?

      • Foundryman November 13th, 2015 at 10:01

Yes, it is absolutely in style to criticize hypocrites who use their fame and wealth to influence others. If she doesn’t like being held to higher standards for her actions, she should shut the F up.
