Trump Flip-Flops On Afghanistan War

The Donald is suddenly glad we invaded Afghanistan after having called it a “mistake” a month ago.

“We made a mistake going into Iraq. I’ve never said we made a mistake going into Afghanistan,” Trump told CNN’s Alisyn Camerota on “New Day,” when pressed about his comments earlier this month.

Trump told CNN’s “New Day” on October 6 that he believed entering Afghanistan was a mistake and worried about U.S. forces getting stuck there.

“At some point, are they going to be there for the next 200 years? At some point what’s going on? It’s going to be a long time,” Trump said, when asked about Afghanistan. “We made a terrible mistake getting involved there in the first place. We had real brilliant thinkers that didn’t know what the hell they were doing. And it’s a mess. It’s a mess. And at this point, you probably have to (stay) because that thing will collapse about two seconds after they leave. Just as I said that Iraq was going to collapse after we leave.”

But when pressed on that answer Tuesday, Trump said he never called going into Afghanistan a mistake and said he only talked about Iraq.

“I never said that. OK, wouldn’t matter, I never said it. Afghanistan is a different kettle. Afghanistan is next to Pakistan, it’s an entry in. You have to be careful with the nuclear weapons. It’s all about the nuclear weapons. By the way, without the nukes, it’s a whole different ballgame,” Trump said.

I guess he just changed history. Those recordings and transcripts don’t mean a thing. He never said it. End of story.

I actually stopped listening. It makes my head hurt.

He just keeps repeating the same phrases over and over, without every saying anything. And I doubt if even one person came up and asked him about the “American Dream.” He knows nothing about it, he inherited a large fortune from his father.

Well, isn’t that exactly what he meant? You make the rich even richer and their kids get to live the American dream.

The American dream is only dead in America, now that we’re the hardest first world country in which to achieve it.

Pakistan had nukes so that means it is ok to invade Afghanistan, no wonder Iran wants a nuclear weapon. Seems it is ok to invade any country that does not have a nuclear capability.

Can you imagine what it must be like inside Trump’s head?

Say you’re standing in the middle of the busiest intersection in the city, as traffic screams past, honking and narrowly missing you, from all directions. At the same time, clusters of street-corner psychotics line the sidewalks, all hollering at you at the top of their lungs.

Yeah, it must be like that.

But we did make a mistake going into Afghanistan, since they agreed to turn over every single al Qaeda member to a neutral court, like the World Court, but Dumbya wanted to try them in his own kangaroo court, despite the fact that they would have surely have been convicted by the World Court. But Bush wanted the political points for himself and over a million dead and ongoing fighting is the result of his stupidity.
