Huckebee: ‘Five Unelected Judges Think They Can Rule’

Uh, yeah, they can. It’s called the Supreme Court of the United States, and they’re one of the there branches of government, remember?

“Five unelected lawyers think they can rule. We’re here to say, ‘No, they cannot,” the former Baptist pastor said to a crowd of supporters who cheered in agreement.

In his speech, Huckabee highlighted the issue of the Supreme Court “making law” instead of upholding law, and the overreach of one governmental branch into another.

“Our founders warned us of the consequences of forgetting something that most of us learned in ninth grade civics. We learned that there are three branches of government. Not one, but three.” Huckabee continued, “Each is equal to the other.”

Which, of course, means that the court can rule, just like the legislative branch can and even the executive branch with executive orders. Oh, and it was five unelected judges who made George W. Bush president.

Hey, Huck, they didn’t make a law, they upheld this law. That’s what the Constitution has them do. https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/42/1983

One of the “there” branches of government, huh? Still up to your old tricks of being the sloppiest-written stuff on the web, I see. And no matter how much you’re scolded for that, nothing ever changes.
