Over the weekend, at a “We Stand With God” rally held in South Carolina, Rick Perry proclaimed he was “willing to die” to fight what he termed the “political corruption (of) the left,” and then added:

Will you join me in that effort? Will you load up? Are you ready to sacrifice? What are you willing to die for? Are you willing to rise up and stand for God and to go forward and live for the principles and the values that this country were based upon? Are you ready? Onward Christian soldiers!…READ MORE at LiberalAmerica

I can compare Jesus to Perry. Jesus was the Good Guy with a Brain. Perry—-Not—–Not. Now, see how easy that was.

Did jebus wear goofy glasses too…???

      • The Original Just Me August 31st, 2015 at 21:03

Naw, Goofy Glasses didn’t look Good on him so he wore Donald Duck glasses.

Jesus was the one without the fraud conviction.

      • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 09:43

Well Jesus did get a conviction although it was kind of a dubious one.

  2. Suzanne McFly August 31st, 2015 at 21:07

If you want some real comparisons ricky, you should try the red guy from downstairs. Jesus preached for us to help those who have less than, you totally messed that one up.

  3. Obewon August 31st, 2015 at 21:11

Ricky Bobby says this is the same Jesus he proclaimed told an indicted and disarmed TX GOP Felon to run as Perry’12 (polled 0% +-2% MOE) and Perry’16~ polling at 1% today!

    • Larry Schmitt September 1st, 2015 at 05:33

To be fair to Jesus, he’s not up on politics. He does better at sports. When he told Perry to run, he meant get some exercise. It’s not Jesus’ fault that Perry is an idiot.

perry is another xtian who pretends to be a christian, hell his wife voted for Wendy davis

    • Robert Kennedy September 1st, 2015 at 13:10

For real? If so, how did she end up with this mental midge?

      • tracey marie September 1st, 2015 at 16:55

Who knows, money, power fright? When she praised Wendy as a good woman who would make a fine Govenor and said the attacks against her are wrong Perry came out the next day and “corrected” Anita’s comments to a scathing attack. Anita said she meant what she said.

  5. Chris August 31st, 2015 at 21:27

Why shouldn’t he compare himself to Jesus Christ?

Heaven knows his mother probably shouted the name at him enough times growing up.

  6. jasperjava August 31st, 2015 at 21:43

    Incitement to riot?
    Incitement to violence?
How is this any different from a radical Islamist preaching jihad?
Why hasn’t he been charged with anything?

Sounds to me like he’s inciting people to armed rebellion in the name of Jesus.

    • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 09:40

      That has been done before.

  9. Hirightnow August 31st, 2015 at 23:27

Now if only he would go away for 2000 years, so we could misconstrue his words, and live by our interpretation of them…
Earth would be a friggin paradise.

oh please, just like in the old movie Spartacus: hang all these less than human creeps along the side of the road.

    • Robert Kennedy September 1st, 2015 at 13:09

      I prefer the Vlad way.

I walk on water too…every time it rains

    • bpollen September 1st, 2015 at 04:39

Oh, yah, hey, up here in Minnisoda, we walk on water all the time. We also shovel it and drill holes in it to go fishing. Well, I don’t, I can’t eat fish, but it IS a popular way of getting away from the wife…

      • rg9rts September 1st, 2015 at 05:20

        Veggie myself …

        • bpollen September 1st, 2015 at 05:22

I’m sure they have veggies on a stick. Pickles, I know, but not sure what else. Personally, I don’t go to the fair.

          • rg9rts September 1st, 2015 at 05:29

Like our local county fair…you only have to go once… its like purgatory

            • bpollen September 1st, 2015 at 05:33

The only thing I liked about it was the double ferris wheel. Kinda like the Renaissance Fair, there just ain’t enough benefit to justify the gate fee.

    • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 09:32

I’ve been walking on water all my life. It’s no big deal but you do have to be cautious. I limit myself to water walking during the months of Jan. and Feb. just to be sure it can support me.

      • rg9rts September 1st, 2015 at 09:56

Also when crossing the lake…know where the rocks are

        • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 12:46

That reminds me of an old joke of a Mormon Bishop, A Catholic Priest, and a Jewish Rabi on a fishing trip together. Is that what you meant ?

          • rg9rts September 1st, 2015 at 13:53

            Thats the one LOL

            • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 20:15

              I thought so.

          • Bunya September 1st, 2015 at 14:16

What’s the joke? Don’t leave me hanging!

            • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 15:15

              okay, here it is.
Three friends went fishing one day. They were a Mormon Bishop, a Catholic Priest, and a Jewish Rabi. They went to their favorite spot, a creek a ways out of town. Fishing was quite good so they ran out of worms. The ground on their side of the creek was really rocky but on the other side was soft dirt they could dig for worms in. The Priest said no problem I will go across the creek and get some worms. He knelt down said a prayer and walked across the water and got some worms. On his way back, same thing, prayer and water walking. Soon, they were out of worms again. The Bishop said , my turn. A prayer and across the water he walked. Same thing on the return trip. One more time they were out of worms. The Rabi says okay, I’ll do it. He scratched his head and then knelt down by the waters edge and said a prayer. He stepped off the creek bank and fell face first into the water. The Bishop leaned over to the Priest and said; ‘ Do you think we should tell him about the rocks just under the water ? “

              • Bunya September 1st, 2015 at 17:29

LOL! That’s good. I have one about nuns who die and go to heaven, but I can’t post it here. I’ll get banned forever.

                • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 20:15

Banned, from where, here or Heaven ?

                  • Bunya September 2nd, 2015 at 09:44

Since I haven’t been to church in decades, I’m sure I’d be banned from Catholic heaven. But more importantly I’d be banned from Liberaland for posting tasteless jokes.

  12. bpollen September 1st, 2015 at 04:37

Jesus and Perry are both dead to me, so there are some areas of congruence.

  13. jybarz September 1st, 2015 at 05:17

Jesus Christ, he’s a BIG IDIOT!

    • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 09:37

Of coarse, you’re not talking about Jesus.

  14. allison1050 September 1st, 2015 at 05:39

    Well, where does 1 begin…LOL LOL :o))

    • The Original Just Me September 1st, 2015 at 09:36

You start by, taking a deep breath, close your mouth, and then bust out laughing again just before your eyes pop out.

  15. Roctuna September 1st, 2015 at 07:50

“load up” “what will you die for” and “christian solder”? And the right says liberals and BLM incite to violence? I don’t see HRC or Bernie standing in front of other so-called christians to call for killing the opposition, just republican candidates.

  16. William September 1st, 2015 at 08:29

His campaign is just as dead as the material that dwells just below his cowboy hat.

    • Larry Schmitt September 1st, 2015 at 08:45

Next time I see your mama I’m gonna punch her right in the mouth.

      • William September 1st, 2015 at 10:30

…”cuz there is no way you came from my loins”
        classic.

  17. Robert Kennedy September 1st, 2015 at 13:07

“Are you willing to rise up and stand for God and to go forward and live for the principles and the values that this country were based upon?”
Well, since this country was founded on liberal policies, not conservative ones, what the hell is he talking about? The only thing he has in common with Jesus is his gender.
