Michigan Circuit Judge Archie Hayman has ruled that citizens in the state can now openly carry weapons in schools, including elementary schools.

Yes, that’s right: It is now perfectly legal for any gun owner who has a permit to carry a gun while in the presence of little children. Because hey, what could possibly go wrong?

This case began when Kenneth Herman filed suit asking for the right to carry a handgun in his daughter’s school in the town of Clio. administrators at the school and other parents were opposed to Herman doing his Rambo impersonation around their children, so Herman decided to take it to court….READ MORE at  LiberalAmerica.org

Well I am glad this will not be a problem since no children are ever killed by guns.

So I guess you can also bring them to the courthouse where this judge sits his a$$ on the bench…??? Didn’t think so….I would have a bit more respect and belief in these people who advocate open carry if they allowed it where they work or play….Every NRA event forbids weapons, every republican candidate that claims to be for open carry doesn’t allow weapons in their presence.

Why would a politician or judge who advocates open carry not allow weapons in their presence…very simple, they are dangerous, even when used and handled properly.

Sorry, this is a no brainer…kids and guns don’t mix well.

i don’t like it for the simple fact is no one knows any of these carriers personally or well enough to know if they won’t snap. an OC murdered his own two children, no one saw that coming and they trust total strangers around your child. if and when someone snaps, who will the parents be able to sue for damages?

just wanting tocarry a gun means something has snapped – when it recoils, watch out kiddies.

The reason advocates of open carry policies won’t allow loaded firearms in their presence is for the same reason they don’t serve in the military. They think THEIR lives are the only lives worth saving – oh, and the lives of zygotes and fetuses.

It doesn’t make sense here either, but that doesn’t stop them. A lot of stupid things happen in America. Like the tRump candidacy.

Where are the wacko fundamentalist preachers on how this is a sign of the End Times?

This would be the first believable claim they’d make.

    • Larry Schmitt August 13th, 2015 at 08:40

No, to them the end times would be signaled by them not being able to carry their phallic guns wherever/whenever they want.

The NRA is celebrating as we all type our thoughts! I do not agree with this at all and I understand protecting the children but if you are going to do this at least have trained people in the schools! What if someone comes to school in a bad mood or worst like the people guarding the recruiters office, an accidental discharge and a kid gets hit! Very sad!!!

Not a fan of home schooling…but if I was a parent of school age kids in Michigan…I’d be home schooling my kids.

The obvious question, of course, is what part of his manhood can’t stand on its own, but needs the support of his guns? What is it about his kids’ schools that sparks his need for “protection?” Will he carry it to the parent/teacher conference? What if the teacher objects?
